They didn’t defend themselves . They sent in a pack of trained psychos to rape, torture and murder . They did it to get an overreaction from Israel hoping it would widen the war into a regional one . Hows that working out ? Exactly. Couldn't have put it better. You do know that Israel was 'controlling' food, water, power and medicines going into Gaza. Do Palestinians have the right to defend themselves? |

Gaza is not occupied - Israel pulled out in 2005 Gaza is recognised as occupied by the UN. Should we leave the UN? Another question that you will not answer. Why do we have to leave - we can just ignore them like everyone else does. Any UN pronouncement on the situation in the Middle East is so one sided as to be a joke. |

Gaza is recognised as occupied by the UN. Should we leave the UN? Another question that you will not answer. Why do we have to leave - we can just ignore them like everyone else does. Any UN pronouncement on the situation in the Middle East is so one sided as to be a joke. Leaving would save us a few billion pounds on hand out day. |

Murdering civilians including babies is not self defence. Their actions have ended all hopes of a Palestinian state. It will ALL be controlled by Israel now. It's a tragedy. If it pans out this way it may not be a bad thing in the long-term. There will be hate and madness about it, which the Left will exploit and try and maintain, but in time and with education and an improvement on life in those areas it should subside. The two-state solution doesn't seem possible as it currently stands. However, Israel has been known to return conquered land, so may work with a third party to avoid direct control in the future (unlikely, but possible). The problem is that we have a growing movement, controlled by people no where near the region, that is calling for the genocide of Jews in Israel. The fact that it is in the UK is a big problem for us. |

So Israel is and has not been exercising self defence for decades, glad that's cleared up. There was never a hope of a Palestinian state, Netanyahu has stated as much. |

Destroying Israel or freeing Palestine from the Israeli blockade. Hamas came about and was funded by Israel, what exactly does 'succeed' mean in this context? |
