when the equivalent diesel model is £50,000 for a van that can go further and carry more then someone is being scammed.. You need to factor in the price per mile. If you are using public chargers then the price per mile for an EV is higher than diesel..

Are you another one who believes that unrestricted personal mobility is a universal entitlement?
As in Herbert Hoover's campaign statement "A chicken in every pot and a car in every garage"

As in Herbert Hoover's campaign statement "A chicken in every pot and a car in every garage" Personal mobility will always be restricted . The question is by how much. Are you another one that believes the poor can always eat cake when they run out of bread ?

Are you another one that believes the poor can always eat cake when they run out of bread ? I reckon it will go the other way. A wave of used EV's will become available to the poor who can run them for a quarter the price of petrol ones and feel good about it too. Renewable energy will make night time charging cheap as chips and clean. You'll drop the car off at the charging compound and ride your electric scooter home

Cor that's quite a vision dappy.
I had the hoi-polloi riding the tram home after a day in the salt-mines or, if they didn't the few groats needed for that, travelling by Shank's pony.

Are you another one that believes the poor can always eat cake when they run out of bread ? The next best thing I suppose is live in a nice place in the first place. That way, if you can't travel without huge expense, you won't miss it that much.
I saw this shit being put into place around 2000 ish with all the speed cameras. You just knew the bastards were up to something. The thing is a lot of this country is now a shithole and even if the place looks pretty good there is fuck all to do except buy overpriced tourist crap. Also another indicator the government were plotting something was with all the double-yellow lines. It took the fun out of motoring, always aware they can nick money from you for the slightest transgression. My solution to this problem when I was younger was to ride a motorcycle which could outrun the police. You could often get away from them by squeezing through the two lines of traffic.

Naah, tyres will become everyday. Insurance fall as feared claims don't happen. Range will only be 70% of the new 500 mile cars.
