Yep we remember that too. But more generally you can set out of a 100 mile journey with your diesel saying its range is 360 miles and arrive at your destination with only 120 miles range left. And everyone knows if your down to only 20 miles left it can jump from 20 miles range to 7 miles range in a couple of miles, such is the inaccuracy of the guess on your MPG and the float in your tank. And we just pull up at ANY GAS STATION AND FILL UP.
Changing the subject is always a good way to avoid answering the point.

Total bollocks. I know full well that if I use my heater, demister and wipers my range will not be cut by 35%... So do I. Can you imagine your heater and windscreen wipers using 35% of the power needed to move your car. You live in san fairy dicky bird land. Actually, could be 27% so he's not that far out. www.perrys.co.uk/blog/what-reduces-the-range-on-your-electric-vehicle/117078

If you turn everything on and keep it in full pelt, then you can get to 77% of Jonsky's claim.

New chargers will charge a car in five minutes. Full charge in five minutes with current battery technology? You may have to provide a link before I believe you. In fact, you will definately have to provide a link...

No you don't. Diesels are subject to range inaccuracy, as anyone who's driven one (That's everyone) knows. Total bollocks. I know full well that if I use my heater, demister and wipers my range will not be cut by 35%... Good point, as Clarkson pointed out, anything that uses electricity will reduce range.

If charging stations were as easy to access and numerous as fuel stations then range anxiety would just about disappear. That’s not going to happen soon But the problem is 'time'. It takes five minutes to fill my, or indeed your tank with delicious diesel. It takes two hours to 'part charge' an EV, and if you don't move it immediately you may be charged a penalty of £1 per minute for every minute you're late - link

EDF can’t move me on to its super-cheap EV charging deal EDF is inviting customers to sign up to its GoElectric Overnight tariff which promises “super cheap off-peak rates of just 8p a kWh to power your electric car and home appliances for less”. If you sign up, you receive an automated email saying the switch will take place within five working days. And then nothing happens.

Changing the subject is always a good way to avoid answering the point. I havent changed the subject. Its you who cannot answer the point that EV's are a fucking white elephant. You absolutely did. You claimed you knew "without any shadow of a doubt how many miles I can get from a tank of diesel." When I showed that was wrong, you switched to the ease with which you could fill back up. Show some grit man.

Most times I fill mine up it takes me no time. I plug it in when I get home (10 seconds) and that's it. No driving into a fuel station or walking to the shop. And my fuel costs £1.10 a gallon (equivalent) So on a long trip (More than 150 miles) you win It takes me longer. But on all those hundreds of everyday trips, I win. Both in time and cost.

Another crap electricity company playing catch up with Octopus energy. I get my charging at 7.5p a kwh at night. One problem there is (I'm sure you've seen this) is the number of bloody smart meters that don't work properly. but that's a different thread really as it effects everyone and especially the poorest.

Bad news from last month - total car sales up 8% but EV sales down 17%!. Also residuals in the used market collapsing - if you want a second hand EV then now might be the time to buy although incredibly bad news for those that did buy new and obviously frightening away potential future buyers.

Argue all you like zany you cut down the range on your electric lemon every time you flick a switch.
