Hamas terrorists who murdered hundreds of innocent civilians in an attack on Israel were applauded at a left wing event in the sidelines of the Labour conference today. The clapping for the bloody violence broke out among the audience at a meeting to mark 75 years since the Nakba or 'catastrophe' - which led to the creation of the Jewish state. Israel have been attacking and subjugating the Palestinians for decades. Israel have been responding aggressively to Hamas for decades. And, in case you haven't noticed, 700+ civilians murdered by Hamas the other day. What are Israel supposed to do about that, nothing? Hamas are not 'settling' in Israeli territory. Why is it people fighting against tyranny are labelled terrorists? The loss of any lives is appalling. They were all UNARMED. Sometimes you make points. This time, you're utterly mistaken. Accept it. I have in the past made criticisms of Netanyahu and Likud as well as Hamas. Right now, 700+ innocent Israelis are dead. More are in hospital with horrific injuries. No civilians anywhere should be at risk of being murdered. Hamas need to abandon terrorism it does not work. |

Instead of spending the money the Palestinian Authority is given, on house building, schools, roads, public services etc, they spend it on weapons and tunnels.
Then, when the Palestinians are about to ask where the money went and why their living standards are shit, they launch a big attack on Israel and have another war.
An affluent Palestinian state would overthrow, put them on trial and imprison them.
They need the Palestinian people to live in squalor, or they'd be out.
This time however, they've bitten off more than they can chew.
The two state solution is over.
The Palestinian authority is over.
Gaza will be reoccupied.

Hamas are responsible for their violence.
Both Hamas and Likud need the conflict in order to keep power.
But the murder of 700+ Israeli civilians cannot go unpunished.

The Hamas attack on innocent civilians is appalling and cannot be justified in any way.
The Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians - and Western governments complicity - over many years is also appalling.
