www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-67024848Oh dear They’ll be needing that camper van - to doss in The only good news is Sunak is £500 poorer - everyone else lost their deposit And congratulations to labour for being able to point to being the majority. Now, if you can do us a favour, blow the explosive bolts and take these bloody scots away from westminster as they want so Starmer can’t count on you, that would be lovely 😂😂😂😂

If this swing were to be replicated at the next General Election (it wont be) the SNP would end up with fewer MP's than the Tories..
Lab: 45 seats Con: 5 SNP: 4 LD: 3

Voter turn out 37%......... Cheers I forgot that detail I imagine the pro-SNP lobby will at least take heart in those numbers. I’ve no idea which 37% of the electorate got off its arse to show their feelings and which 63% of it SAT on its arse to show theirs, but there are enough ways that could be spun to make a technicolour bloody dreamcoat However to be fair it is entirely within the maths to spin this as huge numbers of the SNP faithful delivering a message of abstention as an indication of dissatisfaction knowing whoever got in today would have mere months to have a song and dance before Sunak would have to end their tenure. The question now is what the SNP “leaders” (and maybe never more were inverted commas more needed in a description) will make of the result and / or react to it. Popcorn, anyone ??😀

The SNP has been so severely damaged it is holed below the water line. Voters stayed at home to watch the campervan sink. SNP R.I.P.

In England we get strange results on by elections, some are just showing irritation others are a sign of changing times.
Not sure we can judge if this is a flash in the pan or a sign of long term change.

Popcorn, anyone ??😀 The SNP won't like it but much of their support sat this one out. Many of the activists they had have moved on, being completely disillusioned by the SNPs inactivity on Independence. A lot of supporters sat it out in 2017 but returned to the fold in 2019. If they want to win back the disillusioned they'll have to come up with a route map to Independence. No more begging for a Section 30 order. DO SOMETHING!!! One thing needing changes is the leader. Yousaf may be popular within the Party but is highly unpopular with the electorate. Get rid!

The SNP racists have no legal mandate to push forwards with their separatist agenda. The courts have ruled against them and no party from the region has any legal grounds for dragging Scotland out of our sovereign country.
Best way to kill them off forever, abolish devolution. With devolution gone, they fall back into the wilderness.

With devolution gone, they fall back into the wilderness. The SNP have every right to press on. The Party is quite explicit in what it stands for As far as I know the appeal has yet to be decided Like I said, the only way you'll abolish Devolution is by forcing it on us. That would not go down well with many Scots and would be seen as English aggression. I also pointed out the foolhardy imposition of Direct Rule in Ireland, a move which provoked a massive backlash. 8%! How do you intend to grow that small figure?

They are NOT the government, they have no legal authority to hold a referendum or make constitutional changes, only our national government in London can do that. Stop wasting everyone's time and money, abolish devolution.

Like I keep saying how are you going to achieve that dream without support in Scotland?

That’s it. Those who want it may not be happy but they can do it Nobody's saying they can't do it. What I am saying is that any government stupid enough to try it would in all probability cause a major backlash, resulting in the probability of even more people voting for retaining Devolution than did in 1997 for the re-formation of a Scottish Parliament
