I wish, sadly I think we both know it's not going to happen. Apparently, illegals housed in overcrowded accommodation can, thanks to left wing lawyers, look forward to a £6,000 pay out. It's beyond insane. The world is watching this fiasco and wondering what the hell is going on in the UK. Right, so it looks like Suella has broken the law and not carried out her statutory duties. But it's the charities fault for pointing this out and taking it to court? Do you really hate foreigners that much? 🤷 It is not a case of hating foreigners it is fed up with seeing people taking advantage of a system put in place to protect vulnerable people who may come from a dangerous place. We know that most who arrive will stay forever, will cost us a fortune in legal challenges and appeals. Abu Qatada cost us about 10 million overall for one man. It is unacceptable and in the end will result in many vulnerable people being rejected as the UK population will just close down the lot as that is the feeling at the moment. It will cost the Tories the next election; it will cost Labour the election after that and goodness knows what will replace them but it will not necessarily be pleasant. So best to be receptive to public opinion now instead of being consumed by its consequences some 5 or so years down the line.

Don't worry, Red. Those lawyers can't work outside the framework of laws introduced by Parliament. There's no point electing people to Parliament if the laws they introduce aren't going to be upheld, is there? Telling illegals to throw all documentation away and to say they have been trafficked is not working within the framework of the law. If you have evidence of that, present it to the Law Society. They will be disbarred.

They don't physically have to be in the UK to claim Asylum
100% wrong.
You do have to be in the UK to claim asylum in the UK. Its the law. Look it up FFS
If after all this time, you dont understand even that basic reality then you are not qualified to disucss the subject.

The government are sending the illegal migrants or 'Asylum seekers' to Rwanda, they have already been registered on UK soil, so technically it makes them Asylum seekers, the fact they are being sent to Rwanda for process makes no difference or influence on their claim, they go through the exact same process as any Asylum seeker who enters the UK via any mode of transport, fast tracking via a dingy from France doesn't give them a leg up.

What are you on about, they have been told when they go to Rwanda their Asylum applications will be treated the same way as if they were making them in the UK.
They don't physically have to be in the UK to claim Asylum, there is a 'legal' process that EVERY one has to go through to apply for legal status in the UK, coming over illegally by a dingy from France doesn't give you the advantage over those who are applying via the legal route to claim legal status in the UK.
Why are you commenting on something that is clearly out of your depth of knowledge?
Oh dear commenting on things that are clearly out of your depth. He said. So how about you explaining the legal route. Which part of... Everyone has the human right to seek asylum where they choose, no matter how they arrive. Unfortunately, asylum seekers are unable to apply for protection outside of the UK, meaning that they can only lodge an asylum application on arrival in the UK. This means people are forced to make dangerous journeys to claim asylum, including crossing the English Channel in small and unsafe boats. Translates to you they can claim asylum elsewhere. You will be demanding to enter the Brain of Britain next. Could I suggest you stop lying through your teeth, or if it is you do not have a clue. Clearly out of your depth of knowledge. Then do try reading a different newspaper and stop believing out and out fascist liars. Like Enoch Braverman, wetting her knicker, as she recently spewed the BNP manifesto on asylum. www.rescue.org/uk/article/what-uk-nationality-and-borders-act-and-what-does-it-mean-refugees-uk?gclid=CjwKCAjw8JKbBhBYEiwAs3sxN0ZwAJx0Z4crbAJzwfNoBW0WZG4702w9ZahTDvznEwNHXG8hj7nC0RoCZEEQAvD_BwE

I have lost the plot what on earth you think you are saying, Fairsociety.
Simple fact is -to claim asylum in the UK - you have to be physically on UK soil to do so. You can not claim asylum in the UK anywhere else in the world - eg in Paris, or in Athens, or in Damascus or in Baghdad or in Kigali for that matter.
FFS this is so basic itis ridiculous. Could someone else (even one of the anti asylum brigade) please explain this simple fact to Fairsociety please.

The illegal migrants are on UK soil, but instead of them being processed here and not in a 5* hotel with swimming pool in Rwanda they are being housed in process centers in the UK that they are unhappy with, they have been offered 5* accommodation All inclusive with swimming pool in Rwanda, but they have chosen to stay in the UK cramed up in process centers because they think that will give them a leverage to stay in the UK ........... Wrong, they will be kicked out of the UK if they do not meet the criteria to stay, that's regardless whether they are processed in the UK or Rwanda ........ Get it?

He may be getting confused with the various settlement schemes operated by the UNHCR by which 'vulnerable people' abroad, usually in refugee camps, can apply for settlement in the UK (or other countries). On acceptance they are given refugee status in the country concerned without having to go through the asylum system. Dave's 20,000 Syrians would be a case in point. But no, there is no British official outside the UK who can receive and act upon a request to make a claim for asylum.

And btw, should the Rwanda scheme ever get underway, the intention is that deportees claim asylum there and, if successful, receive refugee status in that country not in the UK.

The UK and Rwanda agreed a Migration and Economic Development Partnership in April 2022. It includes a five-year 'asylum partnership arrangement' as detailed in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Home Secretary and Rwanda's Minister for Foreign Affairs.

So explain this wonderful agreement and how will asylum seekers apply for asylum in the UK in Rwanda . It really is like talking to a brick wall. So let me ask you again. And include Rwanda.. Everyone has the human right to seek asylum where they choose, no matter how they arrive. Unfortunately, asylum seekers are unable to apply for protection outside of the UK, meaning that they can only lodge an asylum application on arrival in the UK. Translates to you they can claim asylum elsewhere. They cannot even deport those who are already here illegally. Having been dealt with. That is in in the tens of thousands, as has been explained and you still go into denial..

If they are in danger etc then escape to a safe country is their only goal. They are not forced to make a dangerous journey by small boat they choose to make a dangerous journey by small boat as they wish not to claim asylum but claim asylum in the country of their choice. They have no right to travel through the EU without a visa, they have no right to reside in France pending an opportunity to reach the UK. The laws and treaties were signed with a view to protecting bona fida refugees. If these are the rules we are bound by why does there exist the special category of Palestinian refugees within the treaties we have to adhere to?
