Remainer's dramatic showdown with police as they tell him 'you can't protest there'
Infamous Remain campaigner Steve Bray has reacted with fury after Manchester's police proved less tolerant of his noisy protesting than London's.
A series of videos published to his social media, filmed by a sidekick, show Steve Bray passionately rowing with a superintendent after being told "how and where we can protest".
Sensibly the top copper is heard telling Mr Bray that while he has a right to protest he must do so in the town square, where a pen has been set up for small protests.
The no-nonsense bobby told Mr Bray he couldn't protest on a traffic island nor use his microphone in the spot he'd set up camp.
He calmly explained to the top hat-wearing loudmouth that he could not protest in a traffic island, despite protestations from Mr Bray and his crew that they always do so in central Westminster.

Ye Gods, "You can't protest here" and people think that is acceptable in a free country? It's not acceptable for that loud mothed arsehole shouting of his big mouth. What about the freedom of others who are sick and tired of that simpletons bias?

Brexit is not to blame for all our woes and Starmer has consistently said that, the war in Ukraine, Covid, austerity and the Tories have all played a part in people being worse off. You have a party whose leader thinks inflation is a tax ffs.

I think she was also alluding to the 'Rejoin' protest marchers when asked "what do you miss about being in the EU" ..they were all dumbstruck, and couldn't answer.
After five days of hard thought 'one' old dear came up with 'one' reason ... she couldn't buy a .German tablecloth' FFS ...... LOL

Kemi Badenocho called regoiners "Economically illiterate" I fully agree with her when the best they can come up with when asked what they miss about the EU is a ... tablecloth. I'd say they were just illiterate full stop.

Ye Gods, "You can't protest here" and people think that is acceptable in a free country? You are happy for 20mph speed limit all in the name of road safety. Now you say it isn't a free country because a bloke cannot loiter and cause disruption on a traffic island.

The police have for some years operated a policy whereby ‘protest’ is allowed usually miles away from whatever is being protested aboit.
The finest example was the protests about the Chinese ‘allowed’ in a kettled side street about a mile from the action.

A lot of people wanted to leave to get something back that they thought they had lost, funny old world ini't?
