As a voter I would like a choice come election time.
I want the Conservatives to actually be Conservative. I want Labour to actually represent working people. I want Libdems to occupy the centre ground. SO I HAVE A CHOICE!!
I see a lot of people on here blindly defending a party, and thus disregarding scrutiny. Why would you not want your party to be the best it could be? If you blindly support them you let them off the hook. I'm a Social Democrat at heart, but I won't blindly support Labour, I DEMAND that they actually demonstrate to me GOOD social policies... or I simply won't vote for them.

You should be celebrating - since 1997 it doesn't matter who you vote for, Labour, Conservative or LibDem you still get New Labour.
Mandelson won.

You could vote Reform. Tice says he's putting up candidates in nearly every constituency. I'd say that Reform is basically the New Conservative party. That's who I'll vote for - Sunak and Starmer are useless.
We need to get over the reluctance we have in England to vote for small parties. Macron's "En Marche" party came from nowhere.

I, too, am hoping Reform do well.
Just enough to split the tory vote in some of their bluest seats, in fact.

So given Labour do not show you, what you consider, 'good social policies' and instead appear to be 'Torylite' would you vote Tory or some other party?

There are alternatives. I'd say that most of the people on this forum would agree with most of the policies of Reform - apart from the likes of dappy of course. SO VOTE FOR THEM. That's what your vote is for. It's pointless keeping on voting for the likes of Labour and the Tories and then complaining when nothing changes.

Which is probably why you are voting for the same thing anyway.

Reform do look like the sort of party I vote for (referendum/ukip/brexit ) . Am leaning toward English democrats rather than Reform but will see whats going on next year

If there was actually a good choice, I wouldn't be able to make it anyway because I am denied a vote as I live in the Speakers constituency. Only ever voted three times, Blair Blair Blair... because at least he had a positive vision and had some decent social policies (eg minimum wage). My main point is why do people blindly give their vote to the same party election after election... even when they display zero of the traits people claim to value lol.

The minimum wage was not a good social policy. It was a half baked social policy that was exploited by employers . The minimum wage was good for the lowest paid, made the leftie elite feel good about themselves but threw the skilled/semi skilled worker under the bus .

Nah, freedom of movement threw the skilled / semi skilled under the bus by flooding the market and turning all those jobs into minimum wage jobs. The market determines the rates. The market was flooded with Eastern Europeans who lived 6 to a house and imported everything from Eastern Europe so that they could afford to work for minimum wage and still build a nest egg for when they returned home.

No it doesn’t . Freedom of movement plus the minimum wage suppressed wages for lower paid skilled / semi skilled jobs . Widget machine op £13 per hour , assistant £10 per hour minimum wage . Minimum wage goes up 50p and employer pays the operator the same . Eventually operator and assistant wages are the same . Ive seen it happen scores of times .

That can only happen if you have no pride. If a company fucks you, you give them one chance to make the situation right, or you take your labour elsewhere! I've lost count of the amount of times some smart arse manager has told me "there is no bars on the windows"... and when I hand in my notice they cry like a baby!

That’s a silly statement that doesn’t take in reality . we are talking semi skilled workers who are getting a bit more than the minimum wage . What we have learned here is 1) you are indispensable 2) any worker that is exploited by an employee has asked for it .
