We live in a single party state where the Tories are already enacting Labour policies before they even get in. Democracy is a sham when there is no choice. When there is no choice there is no mandate, there is only tyranny.

That can only happen if you have no pride. If a company fucks you, you give them one chance to make the situation right, or you take your labour elsewhere! I've lost count of the amount of times some smart arse manager has told me "there is no bars on the windows"... and when I hand in my notice they cry like a baby! That’s a silly statement that doesn’t take in reality . we are talking semi skilled workers who are getting a bit more than the minimum wage . What we have learned here is 1) you are indispensable 2) any worker that is exploited by an employee has asked for it . Not anymore. I'm a trucker, my wage has gone up massively since we left the EU... and the same has happened to all the warehouse staff. You sell your labour to an employer, if they treat you badly you should leave. If you can earn more money elsewhere you should leave. Bad employers get away with it because some people are mugs, it really is that simple. Yes I am indispensable. I am reliable and I do a damn good job. If they shit on me, I walk away, spread the word how shit they are, and watch their reputation go downhill fast, and they will end up having to recruit from the unemployables. It is called being a man, you stand up for yourself and take no shit.

Even Rees Mogg wouldn’t come out with that bollocks . Jog on.

Nobody is "exploited", you are not forced to work anywhere, you have a CHOICE. Exploitation is where somebody holds a power over and forces you to so something. If you work for a shit employer THAT IS YOUR CHOICE.

You’ve told me twice that you are indispensable and three times that if you are exploited by an employer , it’s always your fault . Do you think that the more times you repeat this , the more compelling it gets ? Wrong,it just gets more cringey .

You should learn to read what is actually written instead of trying to fit into your ideology. I said it is your own fault if you work for a shit employer, because we were originally talking about the minimum wage. I never mentioned exploitation in that context. The entire concept of somebody in the UK being exploited is just over the top nonsense. You cannot be exploited when YOU HAVE A CHOICE. Yes there are exploited people that have been trafficked into the country and forced into sex work / sweat shops, but that is a different topic altogether. You should also try getting a sense of humour and realise when people are making tongue in cheek statements. You made a pathetic attempt an insult by suggesting I thought I was indispensable, so you got a tongue in cheek response... it's not my fault you haven't got the brains to see that. The only thing "cringey" is your lack of independent thought. Try and develop some actually opinions on each topic instead of parroting somebody elses ideological nonsense.

Well that’s the fourth time you’ve told me that people who are exploited by employers only have themselves to blame and at least the third time you have blown smoke up your own arse . Its at least the second time you have told me that I don’t believe your bullshit because of my lack of independent thought . You have progressed from cringey to downright embarrassing . I suggest that you stop digging .

I recall the occasion on when Ed And His Stones led Labour to obscurity. At that time there was barely any water of any colour between the parties, indeed i had trouble inserting a Rizla paper between them, inthink the only obvious policy difference was one wanted to let you pass £100,000 more than the other to your kids in your will.

For 47 years I have voted SNP. Blindly you could say but, as it is seen as the vehicle which would lead us to Independence, which I believe in, there was no other choice. Therefore I supported, and was a member of the Party. Gradually my loyalty dwindled as nothing was done by Sturgeon to further the cause. I left the SNP in 2021, joining Alba just before the election. With heavy heart I voted SNP but, for only the 2nd time in my life I didn't vote for the Party in the list. My other brush with alternative parties was voting for Tommy Sheridan back in the day, but he was pro Independence so it wasn't much of a leap.

Gradual disenchantment with a political affiliation is such a common experience it looks to me like there needs to be a game theory / social explanation.
I believe there is. All organisations with causes will get hijacked by disinterested 'crooks' if the genuine people who were brought together by the cause are not vigilant.
