On the last Forum a while back … before it was pulled down and destroyed … some of us were sticking our necks out and discussing in the Mind Zone the idea of multiple Big Bangs, Space Time and Time itself being just conceptual and a figment of human imagination … thus making Einstein’s Theory of Relativity (Time Elasticity) impossible … and clock error/distortions responsible for leading Science down a cul-de-sac for over a century.
Well, it looks like results from the JWST are confirming our logical arguments were correct … and now mainstream science … and astro-physics in particular is in turmoil.🤔
Enjoy! 🤣

Interesting, thanks DD. I have always thought that time as such was a misnomer and a false definition. And that big banging out nothing was an extremely clumsy and rather arrogant way of admitting that the origins of things are basically unknown to us as yet.

So the Bible could be right, then? And man may have been around for <10,000 years? Who made time?

The above is like a bloke trying to figure out how a car works, its important but not much. The essense of existence is that we exist, therefore even if nothing exists, its given meaning by our existence, so nothing cannot exist.
The ramifications of that is that the Universe is infinite, and by definition so are you, you are a product of the Universe. I havent got much time, to cut things short, the bible has teachings about how powerful your mind is, its the crucible of creation, you create your own existence by how you think, feel, and imagine.
Humans are still animals, governed by power, violence, greed, vanity, etc, like animals, but far more powerful, creating weapons of mass destruction, war, famines, crime, the law of the jungle, in fact we are worse than animals. The good news is that we are on the brink of a higher existence due to our higher brains, we are capable of mind blowing destruction.....and good.
The bad news is that if you dont evolve, over countless existences, you devolve, becoming the more destructive animals, carnivours, poisonous, deadly, till you devolve completely to start over again in this realm of suffering, and suffering is the method of change, and love, it evolves you.
The way forward is to give, there is a parable about an indian prince who is walking in a jungle and comes across a starving tiger, and he holds his arm out for the tiger to eat. Jesus said something along those lines when he said " what use is that" referring to evil doing, a human lifetime is a gift. While holding your arm out for a tiger to eat is extreme, it makes the point.
Rescue that bug in the water but, adopt a kitten, give to dog charities, devolve your wealth, you will get it back in spades. Repay hate with love, the goal is too move on from the worlds of suffering, to something higher, dont put it off, time is short, your life is short, the time is now, even if your giving means abuse and hate from those you help. It helps them spiritually awaken. Hateful people are devolving, and you dont have time to waste.
Tinkering in a car engine is interesting though.
Which is this world, a bigger brain gives you a better chance of evolving, a dog or a cat cannot, or has less ability to change themselves.

NASA has computer software that can go back to nanoseconds after the blast that created the universe. But that's just their illusion, Jonksy. Based on man's flawed knowledge and a computer's flawed modelling. NASA think they are gods, mind, so they could be right.

It does actually throw into the melting pot all of the theories of space/time, and throws into question dating of events, measuring of distances using red shift and it actually is mind blowing. One of the biggest unanswered questions is "Why is the night sky dark". It should be light. Then there's gravity which has possibly been a distortion in space/time all along. As a believer in God, I find these things to be so far outside of our true understanding, and the reason for that is the intelligence of a Creator who designed the whole system. Other beliefs are available.

That's OK, but how else do we deal with things that have happened, or are yet to happen? If we understand that there is no time, only the present, we still need to measure time to keep appointments.

Nature abhors a vacuum. A vacuum consists of a multitude of particles and anti-particles which are constantly destroying each other, then borrowing energy and recreating themselves. All it takes is the conditions to separate the matter and anti-matter (like a strong magnetic field) and then you potentially have a universe. This has been done on a very small scale in the laboratory - and the scientists were very disappointed to find that anti-matter reacts just like matter to gravity. If it went the other way that would have been very interesting. As for "time" I don't think anyone has ever understood what it is - not even Brian Cox.
