The caller said, " I had to take her out because all she was fed was William Wallace, Braveheart, freedom – everything that’s good about Scotland.” “Everything that was bad about Scotland was down to the English and that’s all she was fed.” So, the education system indoctrinates the Jocks in victim-hood against the nasty Inglish, and the SNP try and get 16-17 year olds to vote. Shame on those for politically weaponising the education of children to vote the way the bravehearts want. It's terrible. And to think it earns the approval and support of the nasties. Like life isn't getting hard enough for the young today. |

Both the radio show host , and commentators seem to laugh at the individual in question and disagree with his claims.
the majority in the article , the comments and the majority of the scottish public dont agree with you b4 , and are more than happy how the scottish government is running scottish education.
i wonder if mr outraged in dundee will refuse scotlands free university tuition?

Just shameless self-promotion whilst posting abuse toward those who actually have an opinion on the topic? That's Scottish politics, right? You arent addressing the topic. You are snivelling.
The topic at hand is why shouldnt scottish history be taught in scottish schools to scottish kids? Why should you , a foreigner , or this clown of a migrant to dundee , have any say on the teaching of history in scotland?
Most countires around the world have their national history as centrepiece to their school curriculum. Scotland didnt according to the research we have seen. The scottish government ,rightly so , have made moves to rectifiy this.
So despite scottish history in scottish schools being fack all to do with you , a johnny foreigner , can you for once stop snivelling , engage brain and for the purpose of debate in this thread , tell us why we shouldnt be teaching scottish history in scottish schools?

So, where do you glean these inaccuracies from. i think this goes back to the establishment of the brits introducing their 1872 education act into scotland. We know from the time the act was controversial , it was considered as anglicising our education system by the teaching profession , and of course completely ignored scotlands native language never mind putting scottish history as a centrepiece.
The anglicisation of scotlands teaching system can of course be traced back a lot further , but for the purposes of modern education , the 1872 act seems to be a large part of the problem.

National history is a key part of any countires curriculum and scotland should be no different
If eu parties had interfered in the teaching of english history , you would be the first person screaming about it.
