Serious question, Toejam: Are Scots nats the meekest, most snivelling, most cowardly ‘oppressed’ people in history? You keep telling us how you’re ‘imprisoned’ in Britain against your will. But what have you done about it? Can't you find a single Scottish Gandhi or Michael Collins? How about a Glaswegian Moses to lead your people out of bondage? No? Nothing? You have to be the most ineffectual independence group in the history of mankind. And the layer of chicken shit you've spread over your country deepens every day. Bawk! Bawk! There's no point dealing with the rest of your post - you'll have u-turned again by tomorrow morning. I’ve never thought of it like that . That’s undoubtedly true . well if we are cowards according to my mate dyno ...ben e ....what does that make turncoats likeyou?

Swap Scots nats for rejoiners and there's no difference. Except Rejoiners don't claim to be oppressed by a foreign power, or prisoners in their own country. If they were, they'd be doing a hell of a lot more than Toejam's chicken-shit brigade. no you just claim to be oppressed by your own people through democracy , becuase you couldnt sell the eu to them over 5 votes across 7 years , and claim to be prisoners of brexit.
what have you personally done over the last seven years except sit and bubble away constantly you lost a referendum and 4 elections?

Erm, but I am not an economist! lol saw that yesterday sheepwash. That is the question perhaps my mate dyno might answer , why is germany doing so badly if the eu is the promised land of milk and honey?

Maybe, or you could ask as Germany set itself up as the frontman for the EU project and complete unfettered immigration which would bring even more prosperity how come none of it was factual, but just the usual political bollox driven by pie in the sky economics. I mean surely some of these EU driven politicos have some answers, rather than I am not an economist. Asking for a friend of course who is interested in what people think.

Asking for a friend of course who is interested in what people think. im not sure a small post by myself on this thread can do justice to the problems im reading the germans have , but the main issues seem to be mass uncontrolled immigration , and the severe damage caused to the german economy that energy pressures have caused since the yanks demanded they stop using cheap russian energy. Both the biden and trump administrations warned them.
On top of that , you have the half hearted green energy changeover , the stalling of nuclear , and all in all this has contributed to massively damage the economy.
I think its a perfect storm of many issues coming to a head , and is a worrying trend for europes biggest economy. Im not sure how much the EU is the problem , more the fact eu membershipo doesnt appear to be helping which appears to be the point the journalist was making to this remoaner.

Which is exactly what happened in the UK and still is, with the helping hand from the likes of Grant Shapps.

Glad to hear you're not being oppressed, Toejam. Does that mean you'll stop your 'guff' about being locked in a union against your will? Of course, if you are locked in a union against your will, you are oppressed. So, which is it?

A construct between your ears Tommie McLiar. He has a point and by running away and hiding behind fabrications , you are confirming his point that you are just a coward among many . If you are Snats finest , just how craven and cowardly are the rest .

Of course, if you are locked in a union against your will, you are oppressed. So, which is it? Dyno. I know you are angry. Your posts bitterly sarcastic. I get it. Like me you lost a referendum. Unlike me , you have lost every single time the public have stepped near a ballot box over the last 8 years.
That must take some coming to terms with.
Still look on the bright side. It might happen this time. Brexiters are in denial about starmer and davey wanting back into the EU. Some have backed you in our wee spat. Others , like the fragile ben e , are openly admitting they want a closer reltaionship with brussells and want to gie starmer a chance.
The future is bright mate.

Getting into bed with darling , a man who has relentlessly mocked your faith?

Bawk! Bawk! thats deep darling. Your bitterness aside , what do you think ? Are you hopefull starmer and davey are telling fibs about their refusal to rejoin/tie the uk back into the eu , or do you actually believe them?
I think there is a bit of truth in what they say. Im not sure the eu does want the uk back. Many of the eu politicians , especially the french have had enough of the wayward child . Others may be more pragmatic.
There is a line of thought they might take little england back , which would be more easily managebale rather then bwitian. You could then join the eu and take your place among the other former world powers who lost an empire , and become a small country that is part of the EU.
The flip side is what would happen regarding all the former opt outs? You would have to commit to joining the euro , but could of course avoid the euro by doing what sweden does , and deliberately failing the measures for accession. Freedom of movent , well no change there. you currently have fom with the rest of the world.
ECJ jurisdiction? Again , all these foreign courts passing judgement over england would be nothing new.
I suppose it depends how willing the eu may be , and how low starmer is prespared to grovel , not to mention what major concessions he may surrender.
