Keir Starmer commits to rewriting Brexit deal if Labour wins election
Starmer has committed to pursuing a major rewrite of the Brexit deal with the EUSSR if Labour is elected, citing his responsibility to his children and future generations.
As the Labour head flip floberr begins to unveil his blueprint for power if the party wins the next general election, he told the Financial Times he would seek a closer trading relationship with Brussels when the agreement negotiated by then-prime minister Boris Johnson comes up for review in 2025.
“Almost everyone recognises the deal Johnson struck is not a good deal – it’s far too thin,” Starmer said. “As we go into 2025 we will attempt to get a much better deal for the UK.”
Starmer made the comments in Canada at a conference of centre-left leaders, the Global Progress Action Summit, in Montreal, where he had a bilateral meeting with the country’s prime minister, Justin Trudeau. The trip is part of a wider tour of the international stage: Starmer visited The Hague last week and will arrive in Paris to see the French president, Emmanuel Micron, on Tuesday.

Our trade deficit with the EU is running at over £90bn - piling up debt - but we have a trading surplus with the faster growing rest of the world. So tying yourself to the EU seems a rather odd priority

Starmer can't wait to get the keys to No.10, the first thing he'll do is order his Snivel Service to slowly dismantle Brexit bit by bit, then slowly tie is back in with the EU.
The EU must be making him some big promises like they did with puppet Blair, or should I say EU President Blair ... lol
If Tony wasn't such a poor excuse for a human being he'd say to Starmer .... take no notice to what the EU promise if you be their obedient lapdog, that's what they did to me, then when I was no long Prime Minister and I asked about me being EU President they just laughed in my face .... hahahahah

Brexit has failed miserably and we need to re-join the SM and CU as soon as possible.

Considering the lefty Remoaners have done everything in their power to sabotage Brexit, it's still a success, and the more we can see the benefits of Brexit the more the Remoaners need to get in to No.10, and make sure they finish the job they started, Cancel Brexit.

LOL Imagine having a serving government who wanted their country to fail, because that's exactly what Starmer and Labour have wanted ever since Brexit.
It beggars belief that we should put our country in the hands of undemocratic traitors, they have betrayed this country and its people, I can't imagine under any circumstances in history where a leader of its country actually relished the thought and hoped their country would fail just to spite the people who used their democratic right to vote.

Lots of exporters are tearing their hair out at the relatively new export rules and regulations since we left the EU, particularly UK businesses and producers who export perishable goods and produce with short shelf lives. A good example is the UK shellfish industry which sells 80% of all UK caught shellfish to Europe.
Johnsons deal is not a good deal
The European Union remains the most important market for British goods, and this is not going to change for the forseeable future, if at all.
Seeking a better trade deal makes a great deal of sense, it will help British business, speed up exports, help the economy and help with growth.
THere is no reason to oppose Starmers proposal

Our shellfish industry are doing just fine so yet another remnant scare tactic.

Labour ducks triple lock support again as petition tops 142,000 The Daily Express Crusade to protect the pensions triple lock has seen a dramatic surge in support. More than 142,000 people have now signed a petition calling on ministers to honour the commitment. Numbers more than trebled yesterday in an overwhelming signal that protecting the guarantee for older people is vital. The groundswell of support was welcomed by campaigner Dennis Reed who organised the petition. Mr Reed, director of Silver Voices, said: "We have given it a push and people have responded." The huge backing came as Labour again refused to commit to the continuation of the triple lock, creating fresh uncertainty for millions of pensioners. Policy chief Pat McFadden admitted the party would need to look at the "state of the economy" before making the key decision ahead of next year's general election.
