He basically did. It was a phony and rigged trial headed by a deranged Blairite with a chain around her neck. But hey, thanks for reassuring me that Labour's dishonesty, lies and sleaze is actually considered to be the right path by its supporters. Johnson lied multiple times to parliament and to the people of this country but you just can't bring yourself to admit it. He didn't get away with it though... did he?

any bundle of supposed crimes that includes eating a cake, needs to be viewed with extreme suspicion. Nothing in the committee's report mentioned cake, where do you get your information from. Eating cake was not included.

Starmer lied about Beergate, he's got a corruption investigation into Liverpool Labour Council kept 'secret', can you imagine if Liverpool was a Tory run council, Starmer and Rayner would be screaming from the roof tops if Sunak made the report into the corruption investigation Secret, why aren't any of the Council facing a public inquiry headed by Witch Harman.... oh that's right, I forgot, it's Labours double standard hypocrisy standing in the way.

The cake was central to at least one supposed 'fact' that made Boris a transgressor The model here is full on Stalin - ie a committee 'finding the crimes'. These people give themselves away with their enthusiasm for certain issues and reluctance regarding others,

Birthday parties are not essential work meetings. ..and who gets to decide what constitutes a 'birthday party'? It's all just language - there is no substantial reality.

I find the idea that democratically elected leader could be ousted by a committee because of cake related infractions, quite silly really. Like something from Tom Sharpe novel.
