Really? Equal numbers of people complain that the BBC is too left / too right, but I've never seen anyone (other than Hugo) complain that the Daily Mail is too left. Yes really. The BBC finds it's 'centre-ground' - between a crackpot, media savvy, organised, vocal and activist minority and the vast majority of people who have jobs, families and better things to do than complain to an organisation who is clearly structured around entirely ignoring any contribution they might make - excepting their licence fee. People do effectively complain about the daily mail being left wing and often the daily mail is.

The Daily Heil being described as on the Left is also news to me. It is usually Tories rag of choice.

Somebody on the old site said that the Tories have such a large majority that they just can't lose so much that they wouldn't win the next election.
Nonsense really. It's like saying that if you win the Premier League by a large margin it is impossible for you to get relegated the next season.

The polling certainly currently indicates a wipe out for the tories at the next election. Of course the only poll that matters is the one on GE day - but at the moment its difficult to see how the tories can turn around their dire ratings - especially now that they are all fighting each other and unlikely to coalesce around a single leader of any persuasion.

It takes a huge leap of imagination to see people saying 10 years of austerity was worth it to be where we are today facing 10 years of austerity.

Oh come on we all know there was no competition at the time.
