In 2015 the Euro 6 standard for diesels (particulate filters) came in.
I totally agree that old diesels were a problem but there's very few of those left now.
Besides, inner London has a far greater concentration of vehicles than semi-rural outer London locations. As you've been told many times, Khan's own figures indicate an insignificant improvement in air quality in outer London from the ULEZ expansion.
It's a cash cow.
Any diesel after September 2009 has one many 2008 have them.So how they made up Euro 6 I have no idea. The change from Euro 5 to 6 involved the fitment of a DEF system. |

In the present political London environment this would seem appropriate. How does one stop it occurring elsewhere which in many cases it already has is probably beyond the public domain now anyway. I was reading earlier about asylum seekers shouldn't be housed in local villages but in the cities, me thinks it is a little late for that, coming to a village near you, although said protesters admit housing them is good just not in their back yard. |

Unfortunately Khan may well be correct, the white flight from London has made the white family a minority and the capital has been taken over by the new British, so we mustn't be surprised at his candour. He has taken down his original message.

Deputy Londonistan mayor accused over Ulez emails pulls out of media appearance A deputy Londonistan mayor accused of attempting to “squash dissent” over the ultra low emission zone (Ulez) scheme has pulled out of a planned media appearance. Shirley Rodrigues was replaced by another deputy mayor, Seb Dance, to answer journalists’ questions at the Greater Londonistan Authority office in Southwark, south London, on Monday. Asked why Ms Rodrigues was not attending, Mr Dance told the PA news agency: “It’s quite boring. It’s my duty day today so I’m here representing the mayor (Khan).”
It emerged on Sunday that Ms Rodrigues had asked a City Hall-funded expert to counter science that questioned the benefits of Ulez, which involves a £12.50 daily fee for the most polluting vehicles. The Ulez zone is being expanded to cover the whole of the capital from August 29. Ms Rodrigues asked an academic, who was in receipt of funding from Mr Khan’s office, on two occasions to counter research and reporting about the scheme. The deputy mayor, who is responsible for environment and energy policy, emailed Professor Frank Kelly to ask whether he would be willing to “set the record straight”. The mayor’s office certainly shouldn’t be dictating emails for press releases or squashing dissent....
