Out government has totally lot all sense of reality and humanity.
The government looked into putting floating barriers in the English Channel to stop asylum seekers crossing to the UK, a leaked document shows.
The Home Office approached the trade group Maritime UK over the possible use of temporary "marine fencing", in a request for ideas sent over the summer.
This, it said, must be able to "prevent a slow-moving, heavily overloaded migrant boat from making progress".
Totally illegal of course and nothing a good set of wire cutters couldn't handle.
What next, drain the channel and make them walk?

Answer given many times. Open processing centres in France, as Macron wants us to do and process asylum seekers there. Anyone that is not successful would be handed over to the French authorities to either process themselves or return. There would be no excuse for any asylum seeker to pay people smugglers to get to the UK on small boats and any that do can be considered economic migrants and deported. The biggest problem would be that the Tories have made 'small boats' normal because of their lack of action. Can't you talk without trying to belittle and ridicule? |

Starmer/Labour have made some pact with Macron if they get in to power ..... Make Starmer look like he's a worthy leader, Macron will play ball with Starmer Labour, making them look all powerful.
Now here's the catch ...... the big catch ....... what the fuck has Starmer promised Macron in return for sorting out the boat people ...you need to be afraid .... be very afraid........ he'll have sold us down the river and Macron will have his puppet.

Doh making it up again from your imagination The larger vessels use the time honoured shipping lanes in both directions, they do not come that close to either UK shoreline or the French Coast they stay within the lanes , if they are entering a Port they use the same lanes to get in and out , as do the Ferries, I assume you may have have heard of radar and radios they they keep in touch with each other and lookouts on board , plus Controllers on shore, they know what they are doing unlike you. If the Government were to introduce or did put barriers in certain areas of our territorial waters in selected areas this which may not happen they would be closer in shore mapped and visible, as anything that maybe a danger to shipping is and has been for years. The French have actually done this but not in the Channel earlier this week " Asylum seekers desperate to make it to the UK from France have been assembling inland before sailing down the Canche river in "taxi boats" into the English Channel, in an attempt to avoid detection by the authorities. According to French regional news outlet La Voix Du Nord, migrants moving down the Canche have been met with state-funded blockades made of yellow buoys linked by a chain and anchored with concrete slabs on both banks of the river. The blockades, installed on August 10, are based in the port towns of Étaples and Cucq and use concrete studs taken from nearby lighthouses. The publication claimed it has had contact with three migrants from Iran who were thwarted by the blockades. Explaining the measure, the French government said: "Since the beginning of the year, 22 taxi-boats have been identified on the Canche, with an average of 46 migrants on each boatwithout life jackets. Étaples mayor Franck Tindiller said: "On Wednesday, there were four departures from La Canche in the same night". |

If Brains were made of dynamite you would not have enough to blow your cap off, you would struggle to have enough to singe your eyebrows Which bit of virtually all Rivers end up meeting the sea, the chain barriers as posted above are on two rivers that flow into two Ports, the chain stops the Taxi boats carrying Migrants getting to the Channel during the hours of darkness, it disrupts the smugglers |
