All of them? Even the ones coming through 'legal' channels? Why would anyone arriving in the UK legally with the correct paperwork throw away their Travel Documents ? FFS If their intention is to claim Asylum on their arrival producing their Documents ID etc would make their application easier to process Same reason those coming in boats don't have their documents, they fled. |

The issue of extraditing these people to Rwanda rumbled on for ten or so years until 2017. They were barred from extradition because there was sufficient evidence to show they'd not get a fair trial if sent back to Rwanda.
While not held to be a bar to extradition, the Rwandan authorities refused to allow British police to investigate with a view to prosecuting the people here. (The jurisdiction of English law extends everywhere for this type of crime.)
Presumably as a result of the large amounts of money being paid to Rwanda, the authorities there appear to have changed their minds and we may, if there is sufficient evidence, see a prosecution in this country.

Some fled by plane, and the UK was the first safe country. Passports are small and easy to have to hand. Refugees don't need visas. |

It seems someone has been sending us around in circles over illegal immigrants, those are migrants who have no right to be here unless asked for their skills. Which they can apply with those skills in tact. Me thinks they don't actually have any required skills at all and have other reasons for conning the system. |

The Ukrainians were fleeing from an active War and you are guessing they did not have time to grab some belongings including personal documents, some may not have had time, Poland and other countries simple opened their borders to let them in, they were crossing borders for days , some only got out at the last moment, some refused to leave, some have gone back. The UK agreed to take some of the Refugees but could not come directly to the UK unless they had some ID, that is why Officials and Charities set up help centres to arrange for documentation that allowed them to come to the UK, it was in the news for ages , you appear to have missed it. Some unscrupulous people pretended to have fled the Ukraine to get to the UK, but they were soon found out as bogus refugees |

Having no form of identification at all means typically most people would have to go to lengths to carefully remove things they would normally carry anyway. Unless your house is raided in the night by armed police and you have to escape through a window, there is no reason to 'forget' your passport - especially if you have the presence of mind to bring your phone and charger. The whole thing is a joke. |

If a government cant control borders, and have a managed migration policy , wihtout bleating about lawyers , the eu , the incompetence of the home office and anything else that comes to mind , then something is seriously wrong.
This is shocking. The uk is a fucking global laughing stock under the tories. The daily staggering from one crises to the next is unblievable. While i have symapthy for you regarding the alternative , surely we can all see this is worse than the last days of the major government , and that we are merely counting down the days now till this lot get booted out firmly where they belong?
