You Guys can scoff at the idea that shorter hours increase productivity.
Most studies find that to be the case.
And look at Luxembourg who introduce shorter hours there production levels shot up by 20%

And look at Luxembourg who introduce shorter hours there production levels shot up by 20% That’s because there is plenty to scoff at . The fact is that shorter hours will reduce production levels in many circumstances unless technology can be applied and it can’t be applied in all ( or imo most) cases . Im sure that some studies have proven home working can increase production but any intelligent individual can work out it’s limitation . The same applies to a blanket statement of ‘ less hours equals more productivity’ with nothing to back it up but the claim of a study .

How is pointing out that you don't know the reasons for their refusal defending them? No, it is simply criticising you for making up your mind without knowing, and thereby demonstrating your profound ignorance. Like you, I have no idea what their reasons are. Unlike you I don't make assumptions anyway. And for a hard working brickie you seem to have a lot of spare time for this forum. I left you earlier to go to work and upon returning home find you have been posting here all day, laying down turds instead of bricks for the most part. Who gives a fuck about their predicament when we have thousands of our own people including veterans sleeping on the streets. They should think themselves lucky they have a roof or should I say two roofs over their heads. They probably had a mud hut before they infested our country.
And as for me having the time to post I am a joint owner of a six and three gang and can stay at home and still earn well above the national average. I haven't seen it in the rules of this forum where we are all expected to clock in and out.
Talk of people "infesting" this country. You really are an unpleasant bigot, aren't you. We'd be a much happier land if we were not infested by people like you.

I was born here and I do not want others to pay for my every want. If I can't afford it I don't purchase it the same as any other person who has any common sense.
So what do you suggest then for people like me who are sick and tired of being taken for a ride by those who come here thinking that we owe them some kind of living and in some cases plot against us?

Talking of bigotry isn't it strange how the usual lefties skip over the fact that we have our own people sleeping on the streets or who are struggling to make ends meet. I wonder if the lefties who support this influx would sing from the same hymn book if labour were at the helm?

Yeah it's obviously her own fault seeing she refused two other accommodation's by the council. Im sure there thousands of families in the same situation in Birmingham I wonder why their private landlord evicted them. The smell of curry perhaps?

That family have two young boys who look no older than two years old. These parents need to take a bit more responsibility and weigh up how many children the can sustainably pump out. Meaning, there should have been a bit of forethought into their planning. I think it is a bit rich to expect the council to keep upsizing houses because families like this breed like rabbits.
I feel sorry for them to an extent, but they have a responsibility to foreword plan their family size whilst realising that the Council won't/can't upsize your house at the flick of a switch.

Obviously you struggle with accepting reality and prefer to talk out of your arse. It is a well known and well understood fact that both private rents and house prices are much higher in real terms than they were for previous generations. Grunting the word "rubbish" just demonstrates ythe stupendous level of your own ignorance.
Well let's see shall we, Shrieky?
My first flat cost £60k in the early 90s. Now those same flats go for £300k.
So I had a bargain, you might think. Except that the interest rates were 12% back then. While my last mortgage was 1.3%.
So while the cost of the property has gone up approx 5x in 30 years, the cost of borrowing has dropped by nearly 10x.
For a couple, each on the national average wage, that flat is no less affordable today than it would have been 30 odd years ago.
The maths don't lie.
So do stop talking rubbish, there's a chap.

I wonder if the lefties who support this influx would sing from the same hymn book if labour were at the helm? We lefties care passionately about homelessness and regard it as a national disgrace. We want to tackle it by controlling extortionate rents, giving private tenants security of tenure, building a lot more social housing and a lot more genuinely affordable housing to buy whilst restricting the ability of wealthy investors to buy it all up then let it out at extortionate rents. You bleat about homelessness but what do you right wingers ever do about it? And the fact that millions are struggling to make ends meet is down to the Tories, in power for the last 12 years

House prices determine the size of the deposit needed, and interest rates are rising sharply now or havent you noticed. And what about rents? 30 years ago I was able to rent a one bedroom flat for £120 a month. A similar property today would cost me 5, 6, or 7 times as much

Hypocritical wankers.

Well coming on a politics forum and moaning about it isn't going to help is it? The problem is inherently in your own head, tied up with your own "me, me, me" selfishness, so typical of right wingers. You resent helping anyone less fortunate than yourselves and typically wouldn't give anyone the scrapings of your arse. I suggest you go live in a country with no welfare state. It's what you dream of.

A similar property today would cost me 5, 6, or 7 times as much When I bought my first flat the going rate for renting them was £500 a month. Nowadays it's just over £1,000 - which is pretty much the same when adjusted for inflation. The maths don't lie, Shrieky. So do stop talking rubbish.

But of course don't mention that fact..... I wonder how many true refugees you have housed due to putins madness?......... Yet you still welcome and defend these illegal scrounging arseholes who push our very own struggling people further down the list......... Yes we all know how much the lefties care........ All wind and piss and no idea how to tackle the problem but to bleat moan and criticise.
