I doubt it. Most people are addicted to the TV or Internet. They won't get up and take real action. I think we are rapidly reaching the point of the last straw that broke the camels back. It doesn't take much to start a reactionary quest and would quickly escalate. If the Great British Public could not be stirred into action by the Asian grooming gangs scandal I seriously doubt the arrival of a few thousand Albanians is going to have much effect.
Things will have get much, much worse before that happens.
What's more likely to happen in the meantime are revolving-door governments which each promise to 'do something about it', but don't and so get chucked out only to be replaced by the same lot that got rejected last time.
Those few lucky Brits who made it to the continent before the boom came down will be laughing up their sleeves.

That could well be true my friend but even now some of the bleading hearts are changing their own opinions over this dire situation we are now in. We are getting to the point now that our country is so over crowded the first to leave home will set the speed limit of the day for all of us.
And like you have stated it will be no different with the next government what ever the colour of their rosettes they wear. We can vote out the government but we still have the same establishment who seem to have their own agenda.
I bet those lucky Brits are.

The Asian grooming gangs had nothing to do with immigration, they were a small number of people running sex slavery who happened to be Asian in the main. They could just have easily been British. Indeed I am absolutely certain the white police officers actions speak clearly of their involvement. What we are now facing is up to 50,000 Albanians arriving to work for the Albanian mafia and the black market. Very different.

Zany, I have moved your early comments to the Mindzone where hopefully we can have a more sensible conversation.
Again, I stuggle to understand what you mean by this I think the fact that MP's made no attempt to apologise to the BBC for the word Invasion, shows they no where the majority of the public stand.
How can people like me tackle those who lump illegal immigrants with asylum seekers when the BBC wont do it.
Could you expand please.

This bleeding heart only bleeds for those who need it. But has to unpick the racists who want to stir trouble from the real life issues. I have no desire to have open borders or any of the other lies given to the "Bleeding hearts" brand. I would like to establish safe countries with space to take those fleeing persecution. I would like asylum seekers to be able to apply without having to get into the country illegally first. I would then be very happy to have every single illegal immigrant held in a camp and returned home.

Could you expand please. Ok. IMO The BBC should have been making it clear that the illegal immigrants coming from peaceful Albania do not deserve the same treatment as refugees fleeing war in Sudan etc. Even for me who sympathises with left wing views it is obvious that some people deserve better treatment than others. No wonder so many people claim Woke has gone mad when we are worried about offending these men coming from Albania by using the word "Invasion"

Ok. So do I understand that you are defining all people arriving from Albania as illegal immigrants and all people arriving from other countries as potential genuine refugees?
You think the BBC should be expressing their opinion that people from Albania should be treated differently than from other countries rather than just reporting what politicians from either side of the argument are saying.
You think that words like inflammatory words like "invasion" are acceptable as long as they just refer to Albanians and regardless of the firebombing just a couple of days ago. You don't think it would be better if more considered words were used, even if you see the number of Albanians arriving her as a problem. You don't see such language as a continuation of the "traitor" "enemy of the people" etc way of controlling people pioneered by Bannon and used so effectively during the Brexit debate.
Would you wish to implement a full ban on Albanians seeking asylum here. Lets say for example, an 18year old girl was imported illegally through a container by traffickers, held in the UK and forced to be a sex worker by her traffickers but succeeded in escaping. She credibly believes if she returns to Albania she will be killed as an example toothers held similarly here. Should she get asylum?
Just trying to establish what you are saying and what you think the solutions should be and what would be their consequences. I suspect we may be able to find some common ground if we flesh out what we are both saying.
As said I would prefer to have this conversation to try out the mind zone but can do here if you prefer.

The problem we have is that people can quickly be labled racsists if they speak out about their concerns and reffered too as hard right when nothing could be further from the truth. There should be no room for racism in any modern society or organisation but sadly there are. Take football for example what does that instill into our youngsters?

According to the BBC last night, the UK is 19th in the European league when it comes to taking in refugees. I suppose much depends on what stats are used and whether one describes a refugee accurately. The UK granted refugee status to 137,000 in 2021 in teh EU only a total of just over 200,000 people were granted refugee status in the same period. That was on a quick look for details. That may be wrong or not comparable but I am sure there is much manipulation of the stats by all sides. The 19th sounds a bit low so I suspect the BBC is playing with figures.

The Tories have no intention of processing them in good order.
