They have a legal right to go on to the country of their choosing. No they don't. Agreed, not since we left the EU. Thy can make petition to go to their chosen country, but there is not legal requirement for the chosen country to accept it.

Beggars cannot be choosers Red Rum. France is a safe country, not a war zone. Better to be safe than dead. Killing with kindness is still killing. It's not an acceptable option. They have a legal right to go on to the country of their choosing. I was going to say, don't be stupid of course they don't have a right to be in this country. But it seems, they do. Why would anyone not want the Albanian Mafia in this country? Let's hear it for diversity.

I am struggling to follow this. I am told there Albania is not at war or dangerous, that Albanians coming here are in the main not claiming Asylum and that most abscond from the hotels they are placed in. WHAT! If they arrived illegally and have not asked for asylum and are likely to abscond, why on earth are they not in prisons?

There should be proper containment camps built fenced in with razor wire and patrolled by armed guards.
They are now being moved from some of these proces centers to god knows where to hotels and hostels because some of the usuals are saying that manston for example is holding them in overflowing and inhuman conditions. Allready many councils of all colours are righly complaining as they have to supply the hotels and hostels.
Escape from Manston: First coaches carrying migrants out of 'inhumane' Kent processing centre set off as minister warns 50,000 are expected to cross the Channel this year
The first coaches carrying migrants out of the Manston compound have set off Dozens of coaches with heavily tinted windows took migrants from the centre to hotels or hostels Manston was designed to hold up to 1,600 people but instead has become home to 4,000 migrants Government ministers have warned that 50,000 people are expected to cross the Channel this year

Indeed. I am generally one of those Lefties who want asylum seekers given asylum. But when the system is being so obviously misused why are all the Leftie bleedin hearts like me still talking about treating them well, overcrowding etc. Listen fellow lefties. You are doing huge amounts of harm to real refugees, you are making it far to easy for those who don't care to win the argument. That argument is that most asylum seekers are just economic migrants using us. And its an argument I find all but impossible to argue against now.

The government is (through a large private intermediary) arranging attractive schemes with landlords, so that current tenants will be ditched in favour of the new government backed tenants who come with five years prepaid rent.
This will mean landlords will in many cases simply ditch their legitimate tenants in favour of the government asylum scheme tenants. The government's perplexing inability to handle this situation is part of a larger scam that will involve many people paying tax so they themselves can be made less secure or homeless.

I can see it kicking off big time before long probably in this country and it will spread all across Europe like a wild fire as we are not the only country where people are pissed off with the situation. And like you have correctly stated it does those who are true refuges no favours by this ludicrous situation.

This is exactly so. Also most of these hotels and hostels are in holiday areas and it's bad enough in the winter to house these people but in the summer the accomadation is cut and that effects the main source of income in certain areas.

They won't get up and take real action.

It doesn't take much to start a reactionary quest and would quickly escalate.

Just listened to this story on the news, incredible. What's the betting the government attempt to play this incident down, they don't understand the level of anger over the illegal invasion from France. I'd be surprised we didn't see more shocking incidents like this, people have had enough. A Staffordshire right-winger’s anger levels reached historical highs today when he realised that he was a terrorist sympathiser. ‘Hanging’s too good for me’, a red-faced Red Rackham told our reporter.

Zany
I was interested by your posts above.
It is hard to have a serious conversation on this forum without being swamped by the ridiculous, so I thought I would give the Mindzone thing a go. I have copied your points there and asked you some questions. I wonder if I could ask you to respond there

If they arrived illegally and have not asked for asylum and are likely to abscond, why on earth are they not in prisons? The ones that don't claim asylum are likely to have claimed protection under the Modern Slavery Act. According to evidence provided to the Home Affairs Committee, 3,000 Albanians have already done so this year so far, and 90% of those claims have been accepted.
