Sure but that does not make it a bio-weapon. Sloppy bio-security at a research lab quite possibly (but not yet supported by evidence). I mean what use is a weapon that mostly takes out the old, obese and asthmatic? A gentle slope could achieve that. |

It is still to be confirmed. There are at least as many people still saying it has a natural origin as not and neither side has come up with conclusive proof. Which side you choose seems to depend as much on your place on the political spectrum as any scientific evidence. As a result I'm staying firmly on the fence for now. |

Ah, I get it, I pointed the finger at the dictatorship in China and all the pollution they put out compared to our country. And you like that dictatorship. I stand by my comments. Sanctions against heavy polluters. See how they like economic collapse. vinny. Now im not clued up about the world of trade and economics like , you , but perhaps you can help here. If sanctions for example dont work against little third world backwaters like Iran , how do they work against theworlds potential number one economic superpower that is china?
They are no longer reliant on working in the paddy fields as their primary means of production. Things move on.

In that case, it's not quite as bad as I imagined. In 2020 we imported 46% of the food we consumed. Still, considering we are an island nation and 70% of the UK is farmland, 46% is huge. We could do better, and at some point we may have to. We are currently around 60% self sufficient in food. We could get to 100% simply by reducing meat consumption to once a week. Please FO telling people what and how much of it they should eat. |
