To contact Morrisons I'm asked to ask a question. The reason for contacting them is about food poisoning.
Now that quote is the complete text of what came back.

Are you talking about doing a search on Google?
You see that is not the point. The point is I followed the instructions exactly. For a faulty product it is the business of the retailer. I go to the retailer's website and click on Contact Us, which gives me only an option of asking a question in a box. I ask a most basic question and it flops.
In industry, time is money. Can you see why Britain is failing?

No it does not. You didn't look further than the end of your nose. The links you needed were further down the page.

Actually I still have the page I quoted here on my browser, so here is the rest. It is just a page footer.
I could have gone on some wild goose chase, but I decided to publish my results so far. All these sites work in the same idiotic way. Morrisons has a legal duty to process complaints.

For amusement. I googled morrissons complaints and arrived at a form onnthe company website offering multiple start points
I selected instore and products. Or maybe products and instore
High on the list of options was ‘a product purchased from you has made me ill’ link which took me to a form offering me a ‘live chat’ or an ‘email complaint form’
Opting for the form takes me to a screen asking when, where, what and what went wring. All free form text / cakendar widgets
There is no AI here. Just web forms such as i have written for years

i don’t think they have any such LEGAL duty to you If you wish to have action taken against them on the basis their food is unsafe then it’s Trading Standards you need. The company has a legal duty to resoind to their summons to court. That’s about it. There was, inadmit, a time when english retaikers gave a flying one, but no longer. Probably because we have vecome as complaint verbose as the yanks

The company has a legal duty to resoind to their summons to court. That’s about it. There was, inadmit, a time when english retaikers gave a flying one, but no longer. Probably because we have vecome as complaint verbose as the yanks If you do sue them you must make a statement of claim to them in writing first. This is to inform them of the problem and to give them the opportunity to put the matter right. It's an ultimatum, say like they have been playing you around and your patience is running out, then this is the final warning that if they don't play ball they may be subject to your legal costs. Often this focuses their mind. Without an address though you are screwed, so this is why. Trading Standards require you to take the matter to the company responsible first in writing. This is so it gets to the right person, rather than some blonde of the checkout dismissing the claim without knowing what she is doing. It also creates a paper trail.
Now of course I tried going to them first, but since it is impossible then that makes my complaint to the trading standards admissible - lol.
In fighting it is a good tip to use the opponent's own energy against him. Their efforts of obfuscation could make my consumer power more potent, at no cost to me.

Well lets just take a step back from that for a minute
Take it from me.
When your arse is firing like an SRB71 Blackbird afterburner because you’ve been stupid enough to actually use the zero rated restaurant, trading standards really don't give a fig whether you have approached the company. It’s a public health issue.
Now i KNOW this to be the case as does the dodgy tikka in Cardiff’s Chippy Alley, the Silk Mercer in Devizes and a now derelict Puzza Express establishment in Brighton.

Don't call me stupid. There is nothing stupid in what I have said or done and indeed you have just made a mistake there anyway. I just wanted an address or means of contact. You can see for yourself the ask a question box came back with gibberish. Why bother having it if it does not work? The Trading standards People may well be interested in the hassle it is to make a complaint given the erroneous website they trade from. I don't need to lecture you in the obvious, so since you reckon you are so much smarter than any of us you can figure out what I'm on about. I have a thing about time wasters and that site is a time waster.

I have a thing about time wasters and that site is a time waster. Well, the thing is, i’m struggling to find a word that describes someone who sees AI in a web form. What word would you prefer. If you want to experience exasperation try finding a way to tell Amazon one of their sellers is a crook. In the meanwhile, if you wish to lay an allegation that a retailer is selling food of such poor quality it has made you ill, i have provided two routes. Others have found the correct place to raise this issue with this retailer with fairly minimal effort. I know some retailers make it difficult to do this. Asda for example who used to have a real person on their phone number now have a robot that chants a robotic bleat at you and then cuts the call off. But as of today it seems to me Morrissons have not.

A search box is a box called a search.
The only option I had to proceed in my trail to find a means of contact was a box that said Ask a question. A question is as you know a sentence which is asking for something or other. It is natural language which is interpreted using AI. A search is the matching of a string or combination of strings to find something in a list of content/data. I'm sure you can understand this. The trouble with you is you find the urge to slag me off at every opportunity and claim I'm wrong or stupid or whatever. You put me down and often you do so by misunderstanding me. It really is crazy. This is so simple to understand, yet so difficult to get a result from the site.

As multiple people have said, you were on the wrong part of tbe site
That the retailer’s website took you there is almost certainly an issue, but Google can really can be your friend, if you let it.

As multiple people have said, you were on the wrong part of tbe site That the retailer’s website took you there is almost certainly an issue, but Google can really can be your friend, if you let it. I've figured out the Occam's razor explanation here.
What is most likely to have happened is the cheapskates can afford or can't do proper AI. Proper AI is a full natural language interpreter, such as Wolfram Alpha. So what was likely was the website was put together with yesterday's old school web design that will convince you a monkey is a frog, and some fashion blonde stylised it. Rather than good old fashioned search box, they jazzed it up and copied the new style which is a box and an AI system where you really can ask a question. Such a box will be entitled ask a question. The blonde has no idea of the machinery behind the box, hence the error. Sill the policy is to hide their address. That was not in the search index since it did not exist, or if it did it would be in your local planning office in Alpha Centauri.
