Nicola Sturgeon says it's 'absurd' she's had no contact from Liz Truss since she became Prime Minister. Speaking to the BBC ahead of the SNP conference, the Scottish First Minister said she has not had a call or meeting with Ms Truss since she entered Number 10 last month. There were conversations between the two when they met during events commemorating the death of the Queen, the First Minister said, but nothing official. Ms Sturgeon said: "I don't know whether that is arrogance, lack of respect, or insecurity, or whatever it is. It's not the right way to do Government in a grown up way. I hope we will see a change. Probably Liz Truss has enough on her plate without having to listen to a whinging fishwife that has nothing to say.
Perhaps when Sturgeon has something to contribute to the UK someone might listen, until then she is an irrelevance.

A common convention as im led to believe has it that the new uk prime minister ( and you have to admit new tory ones seem to come along more often than the local bus service) has the new uk pm phoning the devolved first ministers , which has happened for every past prime minister since devolution began. Drakeford down in wales has said the same thing that dizzie lizzie hasnt had the decency to phone him either. Im not sure if michelle o neil has had the pleasure either.
Has someone shown liz how to use the phone?

Thats because she doesnt support the uk , heads the scottish not uk parliament , and her party is a scottish party not a uk party.

Neither Wales or Scotland are enthusiastic members of the UK until it is handout time. Well its been the policy of the snp since 1934 for scotland to be fully fiscally autonomous. Thats what independence is om15. Westmisnter wont let scotland be fiscally independent.

Neither did George Grenville. Im sure drakeford, sturgeon , and o neil will survive. The lack of respect is of course being noted by the scot irish and welsh nations.
To be fair to her , with crashing the pound , the bank of england coming to her rescue , her mini budget farce , tory backbench anger , being laughed at on the world stage and at the back of the queue , i think dizzie lizzie has enough on her plate.
Perhaps she doesnt think she will survive that long so hasnt bothered making the effort. Either that , or the pr gurus dont want her taking a platform in any way shape or form in case she puts both feet in it and says something she shoudnt.

It's hard to escape the conclusion that intellectually inept Liz is frit of any encounter with Sturgeon who for all the issues I have with her views is a proven political leader very able to get her view clearly communicated. |

I tend to disagree Steve, I think Liz Truss genuinely dislikes Sturgeon and just doesn't want to meet her. I have no doubt she will in due course, but it will be on her terms, not when Sturgeon demands it.

I'm sure that is how she feels about Truss in particular. The disrespect shown by Truss is nothing new.
