Why would I have any knowledge of rich people I am a poor soul from the wrong side of the tracks. I can't think why. Lack of education perhaps? or maybe I am shy of hard work, or maybe I just like being me and don't feel a need to act like I need to impress anyone. |

Yes but you dont like real numbers. You start a thread saying that its the elderly who are using all the resources and yet you want to compare spending to the likes of France and Germany who have more elderly. If 5% of the UK population is aged 80 years and older, compared with 6% in France and close to 7% in Germany, then the UK (by your own argument) doesn't need as much funding. Or perhaps your argument is just bollocks? Yer that's why they spend more in real terms. That's real terms, you know including allowing for the GDP, the population and the devalued Sterling Those real terms. by your argument we dont need to spend as much as we dont have so many older people - are you frantically rowing back from that claim now? |
