The billions are not untold, but I don't expect you've looked at any real numbers. We spend less far than the countries we compare ourselves to. And we justify that lower amount by pretending its all wasted and spent on rainbow crossings. That's why we never talk real numbers, no fun at all. So do tell us how many billions go into the worlds 5th largest employer and how did it become from something the world envied into a run away monster? Why should I tell you? If you actually want to know look it up. |

Well at the last count they received untold billions because we had to save them from being overwhelmed, firstly they were never in danger of being overwhelmed and secondly it went straight to private enterprise and dodgy dealings. Just saying, now suddenly it is all the fault of the old and infirm while Blair once again says private enterprise needs to take more control, strange that. You start a thread saying that its the elderly who are using all the resources and yet you want to compare spending to the likes of France and Germany who have more elderly. If 5% of the UK population is aged 80 years and older, compared with 6% in France and close to 7% in Germany, then the UK (by your own argument) doesn't need as much funding. Or perhaps your argument is just bollocks? |
