Perhaps there were limits to what they were teaching. As we have discovered the UK was attempting to build mutual cooperation with China, where knowledge goes both ways. Sadly, now that China, or its government, is considered a threat, it looks very bad.
I am curious why the opposition never mentioned any of this. I can only speculate, but they may have went along with it at the time.
Sorry to bring this up but labour did slam the “negligent” government approach to Huawei after U-turn. (those words tasted like vinegar for me to post)
But I am sure there were limits to what the MOD would have entrusted China with.

That could mean many things. Some for example might only be in favour of multi-lateral bans, so a ban only if all those others agree to it too which is unlikely. Besides which, you are talking about supporters, not Labour MPs, so a significant goalpost shift there. |
