Why are British pilots training Chinese pilots to shoot down western jets. linkThis is from the lying Mail, so I assume it's not true but if it is the Conservatives have a lot to answer for. |

Sadly, now that China, or its government, is considered a threat, it looks very bad.
I am curious why the opposition never mentioned any of this. I can only speculate, but they may have went along with it at the time.

China is a fascinating country with a rich history and tradition. A lot changed when the Communists attempted, with a lot of success, to purge those who opposed the far-left at the time. The issue is the CCP, because they, not the state, basically own China's military so there's little chance of an opposition. The CCP is not China.
To outright dismiss the opposition would require something for me to go on. Without evidence to support that it "has nothing to do with the opposition" I cannot, in all honesty, dismiss it. Either they're incompetent or in agreement.

Sorry to bring this up but labour did slam the “negligent” government approach to Huawei after U-turn. (those words tasted like vinegar for me to post)
But I am sure there were limits to what the MOD would have entrusted China with.

It was a query, and now we're in a position where Labour were just as incompetent. There's no law that prevented pilots and ex-pilots training Chinese pilots. It has apparently been going on for decades, and for all we know many of them may have been gathering information for British intelligence. Still, the Conservative party is working with the MOD to beef up security. Maybe now Labour will also pay more attention. |
