I wonder if the minority of posters who believed/hoped Coutts that the reason his account was shut down was due to financial matters have anything to say now that the truth has been outed by their political decision making?
I wonder what their next excuse for the bank will be.

Your link is American. Nigel's bank account was in the UK and would be subject to UK law. Thanks for the heads up. I was only responding to the straw man in the body of text. I guess I should have been more suspicious of Zanygame's posts, now that I know the game. As stated the laws are the same in the UK. |

So long as the banks are privately owned they can choose to serve or not serve whoever they wish. Would you have them made to serve whoever wishes them to? If not what restrictions would you allow? Would you think it it not wrong to refuse someone an account because they don't earn enough? These days a bank account is necessary to survive, without one you cant be paid, or pay bills you become a nonperson. A bank account should be considered a 'human right'. The government should, indeed must, legislate to stop banks who are far too focused on a woke agenda, debanking people they disagree with. Didn’t Nigel gave to backtrack at one point and admit it wasn’t a oersonal account, but a business account, that got closed (hint: go back to when the ‘story’ broke: he said that very thing) Very little of this whole business has been the subject of a full and frank disclosure on either side. |

He had a personal and a separate business account - both were closed. After he went public he was offered a personal account with NatWest but no business account.

Nigel has the bit between his teeth and is off on a crusde, good for him, Coutts have lied ( or the BBC has) about why his account was closed and he now has evidence of that. Just about anyone can put up just about anything on YouTube and Nigel is an experienced producer of utter nonsense. |
