That would be unwise, he hasn't defamed them, he has been careful not to do that. He said they acted unprofessionally, that they didn't act from a business motive. That's corporate defamation.

I see Farage is now looking at taking legal action against Coutts after they leaked his financial details to the BBC - hopefully it will be a good little earner for him.. Doubles all round.. Coutts will likely make a counter-claim against Farage for corporate defamation. They stand to be awarded far more significant damages if their claim succeeds. How so? - how did the BBC get Farages financial details except leaked from Coutts.

Hmmm, yes, if Coutts did in fact act unprofessionally by releasing those details, they won't have a claim. All will depend on whether Coutts released that information, and what the authority of the employee who released it was. But even if Coutts doesn't have a libel case, the fact that Coutts did it to protect their reputation in the face of false claims made by the Manfrog will substantially reduce the Manfrog's damages. Even if he technically wins his case, he may be awarded only a nominal sum and not even be awarded his costs.

Bit more grist to the mill, Coutts will regret taking on Farage. View AttachmentI certainly wouldn't use them, and with a bit of luck more people who were screwed this way will feel empowered and come forward.

Coutts have done the same to other people over the years because they did not have enough funds in their accounts to meet their regulations for 10 years they kept Farage's account ongoing knowing he did not have enough funds in it why change their minds now ?, they have closed the accounts of some of the Royal Family in the past

Metro Bank ‘prevents gender-critical parents’ group from opening account’
Banks against human rights whilst pushing for a cashless society. This is some dark Orwellian scary sheet and it's interesting to see what sort of headbanger would support it.
"Mr Farage on Tuesday warned he would sue Coutts for breaching his privacy after reports that the prestigious bank had closed his accounts because he had insufficient funds."
The good people have to support him.

I see Farage is now looking at taking legal action against Coutts after they leaked his financial details to the BBC - hopefully it will be a good little earner for him.. Doubles all round.. Is not Coutts a high net worth bank that only deals with customers of a certain net worth which most of us don't have? Not just anybody can open an account there I believe. Correct me if I am wrong about that. So playing devils advocate for a moment. What if Farage's net worth fell below their minimum level for a long enough period for them to decide to close his account for that reason alone? Then Farage makes a big deal out of it in public, accusing the bank of being politically motivated? As a defensive measure in such a case I can imagine the bank releasing the financial details of his account to counteract his false narrative about their motivations. Of course, it might not be a false narrative at all, I do not know for sure. But the truth will come out in the fullness of time I would think. Unless some sort of secretive deal is done.

Farage is a Putin enabler. He refused to vote for EU measures to curb Putin's propaganda when he was a member of the EU Parliament. The 'good people' will sit back and look on with glee as he bankrupts himself with ruinous litigation.

Using the full force of large institutions to crush the individual, seems to be a persistent left wing fetish. The drooling.

If he knew why his account was closed then he should be avoided for being a liar (again) and claiming or insinuating the account was closed for other, political or Brexit reasons.
