Banks deciding who can and can't have a bank account depending on their political profile is mere speculation at this point. the easy way to end this damaging speculation is for the bank in question to come out and explain why they have closed such a high profile figures acount. That they havent done so speaks volumes , and as i said earlier monte , not the brightest move by the bank/individuals behind it.
I suspect they are limited in what they can make public about the details of Mr Farage's business account. They have said it was a commercial decision to close it.

its merely an observation darling. Im not attempting to claim any originality.
You should be proud of yourself though. Your bitter justification no matter how low the blow on farage has even me tempted to vote in favour of brexiters . You really are a one man pr show for enabling brexit support arent you?
..and here was me thinking this was just another political forum lacking in any real characters.
All right, let’s see if we can’t distribute the gammon workload fairly. Tommy, you’re on ‘Remainer tears’ for the rest of the day; Sheeps, you’ll be telling the Remainers how much pity you feel for them; Wapentake, you’re on ‘Get over it’ duty; Red you’re on strawmen and ad homs. The rest of you are on standby in case any of the above has to make the supreme sacrifice. Got it? <<Mod' edited to remove offensive remark>>
Every post you make justifies my observation of how upset you are and bitterly indignant over 2016.
you cant help wiping those tears as you bitterly jab your fingers at the keyboard as each word that appears on your screen hits home. Let it go mate , and enjoy the bubbly.

Tommy. You're trespassing. We run a tight ship around here. Do what you're told or this can't work.

Hmm. I'm of the opinion that a PERSON should be entitled to a minimum of a basic bank account. As pointed out, trying to function in the UK without one is impossible. I wouldn't apply the same principal to business accounts. However, from what I've read, it appears that that the banks are enacting anti money laundering processes, which they are obliged to do. Farage is trying to make out that it's because he supported Brexit and it's some remainer plot to get rid of him. No evidence to suggest this at all, but the paranoid Brexiteers are lapping it up here as some form of conspiracy. Why not? - why should private businesses control what other businesses can operate, that is a restraint on trade. As for conspiracy - if there is money laundering then there are enough Laws to combat that and the police should be involved. Private companies acting in secret as judge and juror is not the sort of country I particularly wish to live in.

They have to justify that so called commercial decision. Someone should have anticipated the fall out of closing farages account , and subsequently stirring a hornets nest , and as you allude to , a so called whore monger like farage milking it for all its worth.
All that potentially being the case , not having a watertight reason except weasel words around commercial decisions is rank stupidity.
Seems to me on the face of it in my humble opinion monte another stupid remainer mistake in the long war against brexit.

The brexiters keep making sense on this thread , and the remainers looking idiotically stupid darling. I cant quite possibly understand why remain lost in your country . You seem all so sincere and upstanding in your moral superiority , i cant believe the english public didnt vote how you wanted.
Its a big mystery.........

This is an interesting news clip, Indeed it is an interesting clip. As someone on GB News said, this is more widespread than most people think, hopefully picking on Farage will give this issue a lot of attention, particularly in parliament.

You're not a team player, Tommy. And you made Squeaky cry. Thats the point though darling. Remainers running around trying to overturn the table of democracy because they lost the card game of brexit just isnt cricket mate.
you need to be a team player , and get everyone on board supporting the team , to win the game mate. Not content with trying and failing to overturn brexit in the past , you can see how this looks to us mere plebs when a high profile brexiter politico has his longstanding account closed for no reason .
It stinks of dirty tricks and knives in the dark.
Would you be willing to accept my humble opinion that your side has made yet another high profile pr disaster?

As i said up the thread , the wings over scotland owner stuart campbell is making similar claims about his first direct account being closed due to his high profile criticism of transgender issues.
This is more widespread than we think . Perhaps some good will come of this , the law of unintended consequences as they say.

Private companies acting in secret as judge and juror is not the sort of country I particularly wish to live in. Several on-site selling platform working with the likes of eBay, announced they were looking into some accounts with a view to uncovering money laundering. Several of eBay's on line helpers were overjoyed until I told them money laundering was a specific offence regarding amounts and how they were transferred. I knew this from having money transferred on property sales and reading the rules. There is much misconception regarding laundering. As to Nigel, I suspect there's a good chance the parties have done their homework and realised that Reform might build a support base big enough to upset the applecart and may have heard Nigel is returning to the front line; take no notice of Remnant Nigel haters.
