You're probably right. It doesn't matter what you say, its what people want you to have said that matters. in what way? I argue , and disagree with many on this forum all the time. Many of the brexiters on this thread are completely opposed to my politics in terms of scot indy , but that doesnt mean i cant sometimes take the same view on certain subjects.
I think your problem is your politics and views are so out of touch with most folk on this forum you feel wrongly everyone is ganging up on you. Its not that everyone is some homogenous politcal group out to get you on here , but its more the crazienss of your liberal centrist new labour style politics in this forum is so out on a limb with the disparate views on here that many of us share common disgust at much of what you say.
Ganging up on me. Yes. One says I'm a leftard and you all pile in. Do I care, no not really. What I do care about is not being allowed to make my point and having it made for me by the stereotypists. |

It's just standard polarised thinking. The last few posters and myself all have (sometimes very) different views yet as soon as we disagree, however minutely, with a lefty we are all suddenly all "Far right, Brexiteer Blob". That no such exists is lost on them. And I just can't take people like that, nor any of their views, seriously. You must point that out to me, I must have missed it among the endless Lefties this Leftards that. When did you last call Pacifico a rude name? Or Bentley, Sheepy. No?? |

Somehow the Left have allowed themselves to be manipulated into defending the rights of large multinationals to do as they please against the people of the UK.. ..how times change. How is it the lefts fault? For not liking Farage?? Get a life FFS. The issue is not just with Farage though. Your dislike of Farage has blinded you to the bigger picture and you have ended up supporting large multinationals in their unfair actions against UK people. |

And I am not an Independence supporter as it would bring into more power some pretty crazy progressives as the SNP prove time and time again and even some pretty idiotic Labour members from some years back. It is a strange world having been on the left for many many years and still having a largely LW view that I now see clearly that the left in general have become an intolerant bunch of, and I can find no other word, fascists. I am an Anglophile and I do find it disgraceful what is being done to England and the English but I can also see clearly that eventually the same will be done to Scotland if it remains in the UK the problem being it will happen more quickly if we leave. i think we have seen sandy from previous interactions between us , that your complete lack of understanding of scotland and its history and people has helped enforce your unionist "we cannae dae it" views. Being born and raised in the Scottish heartland of the Stirling area I think I have a good grounding in Scottish history and her people. I have to confess to not understanding the Protestant/Catholic divide as my family and circle were largely outside those divisions but as you say for the Scottish threads. I agree on the last point. However I do see the Nats as currently represented as a largely unpleasant leftish group keen to be dictatorial. |
