That's because you switched accounts rather than applied for a new one with that inevitable question. Have you had a previous bank account? It been a while now but I did some work with the CAB trying to get the issue of basic bank accounts sorted. You would be shocked by the horror stories we dealt with. I switched banks. I wasn't asked who my previous bank was. stop telling porkies Darling, so your new bank would have known you had a 'other bank', because you would have had to switch your Direct Debits, it's the first thing a new bank asks you, or do you pay all your bills in cash ....... LOL

LOL How do you get a negative credit score if you've just changed banks? Surely, you would have to have defaulted on a loan or been a late-payer. What is 'negative' about deciding to change your bank? The TV is full of adverts from banks trying to lure new customers away from their current banks. How would that work if merely changing banks was something that counts against you?

Congratulations to Coutts for making Farage relevant again . A new hobby horse was just the thing he needed . He could have raised the issue during Prime Minster's questions if he hadn't been rejected by the public 7 times.

If possible, you should avoid or minimise these to keep your score as high as possible: Frequently setting up new accounts. Opening a new bank account should only lower your credit score temporarily – but if you do it too often, your score won’t have time to recover.

Congratulations to Coutts for making Farage relevant again . A new hobby horse was just the thing he needed . I rather look upon it as draining the swamp or at least unclogging a few drain holes. The bank, while still interesting, was only the start, and now we get to see all of those people who support the debanking of innocent people over their perfectly legal political views. We should be grateful to Farage for being that much needed voice of the people, especially when so many in Labour would support debanking innocent folk who merely disagreed with the lunacy they're peddling. With a bit of luck The Farage may have once again played to the Conservative harp and helped them make a course correction. He did this before on a massive scale. We need more people like him. They're much harder to bully.

You only get a 'negative credit score' if your previous bank has ditched you, and they aren't about to disclose they ditched him because he was the ex-leader of UKIP, a political party that doesn't suit the lefty agenda.
The 'new bank' would assume he was ditched for some irregularities in his banking, which means it's a 'negative' impact on his credit status.
It's not about ' merely changing banks' out of choice, Farage has been 'forced' to change banks, and it has had a negative impact on his credibility.

Indeed and thanks to Coutts he has another way to become relevant without being elected . Bit more towards the pension too , I reckon .

Drained the swamp , lanced the boil . Whatever way that you might want to put it , Farage has been party to shining a spotlight on a problem that most of us were unaware of. The man has the devil’s luck.

When even the Staggers are falling behind Farages campaign it makes those holdouts on this forum look even more daft..
