Ha I can see it now, Darling with his placard, stop right there you are breaking the law, with Monte backing him up, you tell em Darling. Council estate trash that they are. I'll have you know I spend my evenings drinking champagne from Monte's shoe. i dont believe that. As all the world knows , monte wears socks and sandals and eats alpen for breakfast.

Okay. Don't take my word for the existence of a UK constitution. There are several legal textbooks you can consult on the matter. Good luck with your rebellion, by the way. im not taking your word on anything when you make such basic schoolboy errors such as uk law.
im still trying and failing to get my head around your twisted logic about one parliament not binding another parliament ,the uk parliament being free and unemcumbered to do whatever it wants , the acts of union not binding the uk , but some imaginary consitution in england binding scotland?
i think from where im sitting , your politics needs all the luck it can get rather than mine.
I defer to your legal prowess, Toejam.

well all i can say monte is i never knew i was middle class till i first visited an english council estate. last time i was in hackney as i told patman , i saw some graffiti saying happy 30th birthday grandma. imagine the shock.
You can see why darling is so ill educated. leaving school at 12 to go into a life of benefits dependency is never a good look.
I went to a council estate in Oldham once to give my mate, who was paid by the council to give juggling workshops to underprivileged kids, a hand. I felt positively aristocratic. Quite an eye opener for a country boy from East Anglia. It looked like there had been a riot the night before but apparently all the broken bottles burnt out cars and assorted abandoned furniture was normal. The friend told me about a previous occasion he'd been to Oldham when he was run out of a park by the NF because only Asian kids had turned up to take advantage and they thought that whites had been excluded. He had to be escorted out by the police in the end and nobody got a free juggling workshop. christ monte , what a horrific story. ...and they call us glaswegians heathens?
Is it true they still have outside toilets in oldham? Or that culture is something that grows on the underside of the toilet seat?

We're not all nationalists, some of us are patriots. theres mant differing forms and interpretations of nationalism , but if you beleive in a country , wether its england scotland uk or whatever , then generally that is a form of nationalism. its nothing to be ashamed about monte. The way I see it patriots are proud of their country warts and all but nationalists seek to denigrate others to raise themselves up as superiors.

If I might ease ourselves back to the thread topic, we know how slowly Government business grinds on, just look how quickly the Government have reacted to the situation that is being championed by Nigel Farage, www.gov.uk/government/news/government-clamps-down-on-unfair-bank-account-closuresThis has been going on for several years, Boris was a buffoon who just let this stuff happen without even thinking about it, but when I question why Ricky has sat back and done nothing to address the problem I come up with either he is out of his depth, or he knew perfectly well what was happening but did nothing because he is part of it all. Earlier today I read what B Corp and B Lab have to say on their web sites, without being an alarmist I think that we are all unaware of exactly how bad all this is. Nigel is taking this on, but if I was him I would keep well clear of 6th storey balconies and mind that he avoids "road accidents", they have been working under cover of darkness, and now Nigel has put a million watt searchlight on it and they won't like it. He must take care as they are capable of anything and think that they are above the law, just read their website, it s horrendous.

A patriot is a nationlist , and i think we have long moved beyond the quaint interpretation of nationalists as all being nazis , or some sort of white van man in englandshire. Didnt you learn lesssons from emily thorberrys humiliation , ak lady nugee?
