LOL - you are stretching a bit there. Farage never publicised his bank accounts so there was no risk - in fact nobody knew he had a Coutts account until they told the world. So there was no actual financial loss or even any danger of one - want to try another excuse? Erm ... there was nothing stopping Farage revealing the fact and it's becoming a matter of public knowledge. Or at least something that is known within the circle of the specific clientele Coutts is trying to attract. This is capitalism, Doc. Nobody ever said it was perfect. You're allowed to protect your commercial interests. He spent 20 years not saying anything about them but now, suddenly, he is going to start.. what was it I told you before about being gullible? |

Actions are already being taken by the regulators and Government tp prevent people being debanked for their freedom of speech - you cannot keep the issue hidden any longer. |

It's not about having a Coutts account, because now we know the NatWest and other commercial banks have the same practice.
Where will it end?
They will be picking and choosing who can have personal/business loans, and mortgages, and other financial products, even if they fit the required criteria, but denied access on the grounds of their political views.
The banks in theory could dictate where those of certain politics can buy properties, where and what businesses they can operate, don't you see what road this is going down?

His prophecies were no different to what remainers were telling us the UK was in for if it had the temerity to leave the EU. They said he was perceived to be a 'disingenuous grifter'. The bank obviously decided it didn't want to take that risk. And Coutts have nothing at all to do with the manfrog's reputation as a disingenuous grifter. That's entirely his own work. |
