I'm happy to debate these subjects but this is off topic here and since it is the Mind Zone I do not wish to piss off either the mods or readers, who are expecting to learn about building satellite ground stations. Half of that sat component's are produced in China BVL. You try purchasing an analog to digital converter that isn't made outside of China. If it isn't built in China you can bet the component's still are.

If it isn't built in China you can bet the component's still are. 3D printers are becoming good these days. You hardly have to do much because you can download designs for this and that. Plastic cogs and stuff are good because they don't rust. The rest of it you could probably build out of modules. For the uplink you'll need a linear amp. It's all cheap prices, e.g.
