Why has a subsistence farmer in Africa got 13 children? Because all 13 are unlikely to survive, and those that do, will be their parents' security in old age.
Surely better to raise the standard of living and welfare in Africa and other underdeveloped countries, because it has been shown that doing so lowers birthrates towards the West's average of below two per woman?
This strategy is already contributing to the world average birthrate dropping from a peak of 5.1 births per woman in 1964 to 2.4 in 2020...
The best course of action would be for poor people not to have dozens of children they cant feed clothe or ever hope to look after. It's called ignorance. Christ the papal pillock even reaffirmed the ban on condoms in Africa saying contraceptives made aids worse. Ignorant people believe this religious claptrap, the result of which is a population explosion in Africa. And somehow, it's our fault!

It does. Because he is poor many of his children won't live to adulthood so he has more of them to ensure enough survive to look after him when he can no longer support himself. In rich countries with welfare systems more children means more dependants but in poor countries children are assets not liabilities. Oh rubbish Monte, ffs. You're advocating poor subsistence farmers in Africa having lots of children because a percentage who die, probably through malnutrition, have to be factored in? Incredible. It's one of the major factors. Along with things like lack of family planning resources, good healthcare and education. In short poverty. Poverty also drives immigration.

Several factors are responsible for unsustainable population growth in Africa; Catholicism, a lack of family planning and ignorance being the most obvious. - www.salon.com/2015/11/30/catholic_dogmas_are_killing_people_in_africa/

If lack of family planning and ignorance are the most obvious, then why aren't they the most obvious things to tackle...?

The reasons for deaths in Africa being at such a level is over population through enormous population growth. The UK population since 1950 has increased by about 30%, much of that down to immigration. The population of many areas in central and Eastern Africa has increased by some 800% in the same time period. The areas suffering drought, which are common occurrences over the decades, have sometimes increased by 1000%. The area could barely support the population in 1950 and with Ukraine being at war the area will suffer further. People will leave wholesale and we can guess where they are targeting on going. To go further East the population of Pakistan is doubling about every generation. The problems of the world are not disease, pestilence, climate change and over consumption. Population is the problem. The scary bit is that if there is a plan to reduce population, and who can doubt that some who have power will be considering it, it will involve an awful lot of engineered deaths and a means of reducing the fertility of the population. Hmm.

His hobby is flying his kite. Well it's certainly not wearing a condom, but that's probably down to the pope. LOL....

Are you serious, you think they took the time and effort to make up an entire list of previous attendees? lol Cool, i'll look forward to Miliband forcing a retraction hahaha. You do know what Guido is right? They peddle political gossip just like the BBC, ITV, newspapers do... "our sources tell us" etc. Yes, the guy who set it up is a Conservative, and it has right bias, but they are not a bunch of crack pots. They have press passes for Westminister and good relationships with many politicians. They have actually broken many a story. Obviously they are very sarcastic towards the left, but that doesn't make their information lies. I'll look forward to you proving a single one of those attendees wrong... prove to us that Blair attended a single one, and Brown more than one.
