To clarify? You don't know who pays taxes? Only to well, I'm still a taxpayer so I know that any hairbrained ideas about "free" are nonsense.

Should British Nationals be given priority over migrants for council housing?. This is not a new idea, it's been tried before, but is it time to try it again?. Personally I think its a bit late because once Labour take control next year they are never going to allow UK citizens to be prioritised. In almost all cases, yes.

Once Labour are at the helm you can kiss goodbye to trees, they'll be slaughtered to make way for housing estates on our greenbelt land, in 6 years the UK will be a concrete jungle.

The whole notion was to provide safety net housing for the people of the UK. How the hell did it get switched over to providing housing for everyone except the population of the UK?
It seems to be excellent example of the scope creep, corruption and priority distortion inherent in public services

May I suggest you re-read the thread, this for starters but it's not the only example: The perks of citizenship in this scenario would be free health care and in and out of work benefits.Healthcare is not free, not even under the NHS, and other benefits are not free, they come out of taxes

Not trees but sugar beat fields. Not dinghy criminals but the 4 million people needing homes.

That's why I said immigrants would pay taxes but not get the benefits immediately. Why is conversation with you always so dull.

Rents in the Uk are twice the cost of a mortgage, that's because there's shortage of housing.

I take it your answer is 'no' - or to put it another way, you volunteer others to be directly affected rather than yourself. I can understand your logic and reluctance.

Why would we want to be reminded about these criminals living in hotels? We are paying for it FFS whilst our own struggling population are on the streets. They are succeeding in Torbay into turning it into a third world ghetto. Thanks to Blair and the EUSSR.

I know what you meant, and you know what I meant, if Labour get in, that's how many illegal migrants there will be on top of our own 4 million, needing housing.
At that rate at least 8 million homes will need to be built, there wont be a blade of grass left by the time Labour have fucked up this country.
