Mail unveils Boris Johnson as our new columnist – and he'll be required reading in Westminster and across the world!
It was the front page tease that got the whole of Britain talking.
Who could the ‘erudite new columnist’ announced on the cover of today’s Daily Mail possibly be?
Of course, many guessed right and now we are delighted to confirm his identity… former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, famed as one of the wittiest and most original writers in the business.

Great! A liar writing for a lying newspaper that caters to a market he despises. Glad you're happy, Jonks.

Writing for the hoi polloi Daily Mail readership is a big step down from editing The Spectator (or whatever right-wing periodical he formerly lied for). It's all part of the downward spiral.

The people of this country should be ashamed of themselves. After all, the Mail is in the business of selling papers and does have a track record of selling more than virtually any other.
Conclusion: the moronic British public will pay a lot of money to be lied to.

I'm sure the privileges committee will be blocking this appointment.

I look forward to reading more of his made up guff on here in the coming weeks. No outrage from me.

I'm looking forward to reading his views on Posh Spice's latest red carpet ensemble and being told how Princess Di is an enthusiastic Brexiter in the spirit world. Congrats on your 'promotion', Boris!
