The only person you vote for is the representative of your constituency.
We tend to look past that and consider ourselves voting for a party, but that’s just people not understanding our democratic system correctly.

This is only a legality / technicality - if people are voting for a party, the party is what is being compared and selected. If people vote for hairstyles, the same applies.

I'm amused that you believe that Tory MP's are automatically Johnson supporters - many of them hated him more than the opposition. As for lying - Johnson was very careful in how he phrased his statements, so much so that the Committee could not produce a single definitive lie as evidence. I'm not saying that Johnson is not dishonest but being hung out to dry by a group that have no more honesty and integrity than him is the definition of a kangaroo court. Glad to see that you've read the report before it's been published. I bet starmer did hash. The corrupt ringpeice

Some good points made here, the left celebrated when Thatcher left office and now they are crowing unctuously about Boris and a bit of cake. Starmer has stated that he is going to use dirty tricks to get into power and unless he and his supporters are brought out into the sunlight for us to look at he will do just that. Both Sue Grey and Harriet Harman have established that they were not independent and not unbiased, both of them should be shamed for what they have done and I hope that they will be.
The one good thing is that Boris is now outside the tent pissing in, I really hope Sunak et al get very wet.

It’s not just a technicality because if it were, parties wouldn’t be able to change leaders at a whim. In a republic, where you do vote for a President, like the US, the democrats can’t simply choose a new President should Biden step aside. Such a situation is governed by very different legislation to our own. People just tend to claim ignorance of our system when it suits them.

Can you imagine Starmer & Rayner and the rest of the Labour bunch if Starmer had two people leading a enquiry into his conduct just happend to be two Tory backers, FFS we'd never hear the end of 'Kangaroo Court', they'd be contacting the police, the King, and every court in the land, Labour are the party of corruption and dirty politics, and this is what you will get if Starmer becomes Prime Minister.

Only in FS World is 43.6% "unanimous". Idiot
"The 2019 United Kingdom general election was held on Thursday, 12 December 2019. It resulted in the Conservative Party receiving a landslide majority of 80 seats".
Only 43% is far from unanimous,, Fairy. In fact, 43% is a minority. The UK system allows the majority to be ruled by a minority. I'll say that again in case it hasn't sunk in: the UK system allows the majority to be ruled by a minority.

And that is far from "unanimous". The clue is in the word "landslide"
Definition "landslide"
noun: landslide; plural noun: landslides
1. a collapse of a mass of earth or rock from a mountain or cliff. "the road was blocked by a landslide"
2. an overwhelming majority of votes for one party or candidate in an election. "they won by a landslide"
Idiot.

Parliament is a debating chamber. If everything was decided in a manifesto before the election, there would be no need to debate it. So, there would be no need for Westminster. Every MP could just mail their vote in. Do you want those policies to be debated, Sheeps?

Then it needs explaining why political parties appear on the ballot paper. A valid point. We have our local elections, where independents can also stand, but we also have the GE at the national level. The PM/party leader and his/her party manifesto obviously plays a huge role in the GE. It's what people are voting for at this level. While it may not be officially so, we did vote for them to be the PM (the people hold this authority). I believe that should be respected and that to push out the PM, as they did, who the people voted for in good faith, is an insult to the people and democracy, and something that exposes a stink within the entire political establishment.
