The thread is so stupid, and so VERY unintelligent that its barely worth making any comment A criminal is a criminal, irregardless of whatever race, nationality or faith that person is But what often makes criminal acts complicated is mental health - a much better topic for discussion would have been SHOULD WE LOOK UPON PURPETRATORS OF CRIME WHO HAVE PSYCHIATRIC CONDITIONS DIFFERENTLY ? My own view is that the Number 1 priority in considering such people is the safety of the public, a person with mental health issues who committs such terrible crimes cannot escape punishment, but the punishment must take into consideration the persons mental state. Its why we have secure hospitals, its why we have Broadmoor and Rampton ... punishment - isolation from the public - treatment. I wondered why you were on here. |

The fact that one man out of millions of refugees who have settled in Europe has committed a terrible crime is not a valid reason against F.O.M
If it were, then it would also be a valid reason for halting all forms of migration / immigration, including work related, education related, and then there s people who go abroad on holliday.
Using this one incident against a freedom which has benefitted MILLIONS is barmy, there is risk involved with everything.

Sweden has the highest number of refugees per head of population in Europe, around 250,000, and criminality amongst Swedens refugee population is not much different to the general population. Suggesting that there is a case for curbing Europe's free movement, a concept which MOST Europeans welcome, and millions enjoy, because of one incident, is quite frankly stark raving bonkers, and it aint gonna happen. |
