Anyone watching? I accept few Labour supporters will admit to it. It will be painful for them, Sunak is giving Starmer a right kicking

You have claimed that with Johnson and Truss before Red. Your blue tinted glasses rarely accord with the judgement of independent voices.
I did watch the first couple of minutes. Honestly I thought he came across as a silly little schoolboy in a sixth form debating society. I turned off after five minutes.
Hope he grows up a little as he settles into the job. I was reasonably optimistic about Sunak but that optimism is waning fast.

Don't give a fuck about firsts, Sunak simply was the best of a bad bunch and that was what we should be talking about.

It was a decent exchange between Sunak and Starmer.
It surprised me that he didn't call bullshit on some of Starmer's points, he had no problem doing it to Truss during the leadership election.
If he wants to avoid a mauling at the next election, he is going to have to wrestle the "rich people bad" narrative away from Starmer.

Agree with the above points, apart from Dappy's contribution which was tediously predictable.
Sunak looked in control and sounded confident, I suppose we shouldn't be all that surprised. As the ex-chancellor he's not exactly a stranger to the despatch box.

Just to show your objectivity, Red, could you point us to a time when you recognised that a Conservative had performed badly and Labour, Lib Dem or SNP well. May I remind you that you hailed the Tiverton and Wakefield by-election results as good for Johnson . I was reasonably optimistic that Sunak would move away from the chaos, corruption, lies and culture wars we say under Johnson and move us back towards competence and integrity, even if I didn't agree with some of what he says. I think he let himself down badly with his sleazy little deal with Braverman and will live to regret her appointment - she strikes me as a very loose cannon. PMQ is rarely overly illuminative but honestly trying to be as objective as possible, I wasn't impressed with his first PMQ - I expected better. Just the same old sixth form debating society bollocks. I suspect I will not bother with future ones.

I was disappointed to see him resorting to whataboutery. He's just another slick politician. Don't expect any straight answers. Starmer had him on Cruella. Richy had to deflect to Corbyn's stupid nuclear disarmament policies to avoid answering a question about Braverman and her security faux pas. Still, could be worse, at least it's not Boris or Truss...

Forgot about PMQs i day after getting appointed as PM.
Good to know he held his own.
Must be galling for Labour now on 5th PM since they were last in power.

Sunak won 3-1. Starmer only scored on Braverman's resignation. But surely we all know, or at least suspect, that she must have deliberately used the ploy of the leak so she could resign under Truss because Sunak had offered her the same job.

Labour have a lot of catching up to do, No women Labour leaders, and now the first Hindu British Prime Minister, lol it looks like it's going all horribly wrong for Labour.
