Families face £1,000-a-year bill for Labour eco plans: Starmer shows signs of wobbling on 'naive' £28BILLION net zero strategy.Labour's 'bonkers' green energy plans will drive up mortgage rates and make Britain more reliant on foreign oil and gas, ministers warned last night. Treasury analysis suggests that the idea of investing £28billion a year in tackling climate change could increase interest rates by 0.75 per cent, piling misery on millions of homeowners. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12162745/Treasury-analysis-warns-Starmers-28BILLION-net-zero-strategy-drive-mortgage-costs.htmlHey posters, you think it's bad now? Vote Labour, lol.

For a country that puts out a very small amount of the Global pollution, which in actual fact has become one of the highest ranked green countries on the planet, whatever he says has probably nothing to do with being green but has other agendas.

The UK produces less than 1% of global emissions, and spends £billions on Chinese wind turbines and solar panels. The Chinese economy is totally reliant on coal, it's a coal based economy and western governments know this, but they still try to outdo one another on their green virtue signalling by propping up a coal based economy. It's mad.

The lunatics are in charge of the asylum and what's more mean to invent more ways of staying in charge.

On the one cheek we have remainers and Blairites talking about growth with protectionist measures for trade (work that one out), then on the other we have the Corbynites and eco-zealots like JSO ensuring we head back to the caves to cook dinner.

The lunatics are in charge of the asylum and what's more mean to invent more ways of staying in charge. A very apt metaphor It starts with the need for inclusion - ie "we lunatics need to be part of the conversation." A few meetings later the sane find they are no longer even allowed to speak. Our universities have been turned into lunatic care centres using this approach

Even the Mail has to tell some of the truth, sometimes.
"The green spending plan was announced in 2021 before global inflation took off – and interest rates followed. Senior Labour figures are debating whether it will have to be scaled back to reflect the more straitened economic circumstances."

Indeed Labour received £1.5 million from that pillock Dale Vince who bankrolls Just Stop Oil, and his company Ecotricity received £200,000 in grants from the government last year. It's mad. Almost as mad as the government funding left wing charities who fight against government policy.

The developed wealthy West have set a green agenda and are leaving the RoW behind. Nobody gives a shit about the West's morals. Least of all the entirety of Africa who still after decades are more worried about employment, health and education. Green policies are the last thing on their minds. They're still trying to industrialise like India. Of course, China's influence grows in Africa because of this. The West has lost touch with the rest of the world and as such is losing influence. It's making way for China and others to fill the void.

Narendra Modi shrugs and says India, the largest democracy in the world, has nothing to do with global warming. Putin is selling huge amounts of coal and gas to China, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Germany. Yes indeed, as at July 2022 Germany were operating no fewar than 63 coal fired power stations and were the second largest importer of Russian coal. Even so, thanks to net zero the lights are going out in Germany. I think the longer this 'green' lunacy continues the more likely it is that politicians, apart from the LibDems obviously, will see that net zero is an unachievable pipe dream. If the government force people into fuel poverty to show the world how virtuous they are, then I sincerely hope the people rise up and if they're pushed enough, they will.

China and for that matter, all other dictatorships should face sanctions from the civilised world and no trade, UNLESS, they stop being dictatorships and embrace democracy.

Better to jettison unworkable plans now rather than during or after the election — the LibDems are a example of how that can play out.
Labour is lucky the situation became obvious now…

Vote Labour, lol. This is it, compared to the previous PMs, Rishi is probably the best one since Thatcher. All the others fucked up big time: Johnson, Truss, May, Cameron, IDS, Hague was pretty clueless too and Major screwed up over Europe. Not to mention Brown and Blair. Rishi has his faults, but Starmer is the kind that would really stick it to us. He's a lawyer. It's in their blood. Rishi does finance, which is a useful skill.

They started in about 1980 so those will be the dirty ones. Half the motive for doing it is to breathe clean air in the cities.

Maybe, but they're still building two a month for the next 12 years, until 2030, and the Chinese don't build 1MW power stations like most of ours were, they build huge 5 and 6 MW power stations. And they are building coal power stations in at least six other countries. Just for info; last year global coal consumption went over 8 billion tonnes for the first time since 2013. Trust me BvL, the big coal consumers, China, India, Indonesia, Russia etc, aren't interested in net zero.
