I really don't know myself. I can give you tons of possible reasons, but to know which are important and which have little effect is very hard to measure. I guess I could start by chucking in a few possibilities. Schools are the obvious one, but then there are parents as well. Even with schools, is it the schools or what they are told to teach. Perhaps it is woke agendas which displace the quality learning, or perhaps it is genetic with immigration from the third world, or perhaps a brain drain, or even to do with what we eat or breathe.
To be fair, we could raise the average IQ simply by deporting you.

At any moment in time half of the population sits on the left-hand side of the Bell Curve. Not much more than a couple of generations ago many of them would have been down the pit, or slaving in a dark satanic mill, or ploughing a muddy field, or in domestic service.
Compared to that sort of life 37 hours a week in a Primark would seem like heaven.

Throughout my education we were told there were no prizes for second best. Attendance was expected and non attendance without good reason attracted the attention of social services truancy officers. School assemblies included announcements of pupil’s achievements of excellence on and off the curriculum. In utter stark contrast under Labour achievement is a dirty word. My daughter’s success in the kayak club race was unmentioned. And many others like it. My brother was puzzled to receive a letter from his son’s school and was less than impressed to find it commended him and his offspring for actually attending the class FFS Shelving Meritocracy is the biggest threat to our education system. Personally I feel the MSM and UK Politicians have collectively ‘engineered’ the destruction of UK education during the last 40 years … driving the best teachers out of the profession through a host of inane policies. It’s been a concerted attack on Europe and America. Selective quality immigration can have a beneficial effect on indigenous whites …. who are made to realise pretty quickly … if they mess around in class … their tribe will be doing ALL the menial low paid no brainer jobs in future … likely run and bossed around by Asians and Religious Cartels. Studious immigrants inspire some white UK kids to work harder … push their expectations to another level in a competitive World. …. If they don’t … the future is slavery and possibly even tribal extinction. We need to be seriously concerned this new American ‘disease’ … as illustrated from a lecture by Senior Stanford Fellow Thomas Sowell … doesn’t gain yet more traction here … destroying UK Education like it destroyed American Education. |

Left wing influence is to blame for our slow decline. People laughed when Trump got in … and blamed him for accelerating ‘the Neanderthal’ side of America into the frame … but …If you want to see where we are heading after the death of Meritocracy injected into the U.S. Education System under Biden’s Leadership … where the LEFT turned campuses and schools into political battlegrounds instead of zones of tolerance, POV diversity and education. … this vision was supposed to be 500 years into the future … but when Biden got in … things accelerated “super-dumb” remarkably quickly. 😂👏 |

The UK is primarily a service economy and China is manufacturing. Go back a hundred years and our brightest and best would have gone into science and engineering but we have moved on - emerging economies like China need manufacturing to grow because they dont have a large service sector. When they become as rich as developed economies then they move away from tin bashing and develop into a service economy. I'm not sure if you could (or would want to) stop it. This is an interesting question is it evolution to move to a service industry rather than a manufacturing one or has it just been designed that way to put jobs into a large economy so they will buy the goods of Western corporates, at least in theory? |

In MY day school sports day was best avoided apart from the egg and spoon race because i was built for 10k endurance not for acceleration and there were no such school events although as i said earlier my extracurricular success was both announced and applauded. In my elder daughter’s day under Blair all such was forbidden. Competition and winning were dirty words. Sports Day was removed from the agenda, as were Head Boys and Girls. The stupidity of that was starting to be felt four years later when my younger daughter reached the same age. The abandonment of exercise and the obesity it brought was being exposed. Sports days were back but now as you say there were ‘medals for all’ Perhaps the most apalling side of the abandonment of meritocracy and particularly meritocracy in sport was the blind eye turned to the bullying of achievers. Jennifer and Sarah were both forced to learn to swim by me. I insisted after witnessing the aftermath of a singular tragedy at Fenny Stratford. A mother and three daughters were walking on the towpath. The middle child fell in the canal. Leaving the eldest with the pushchair with the youngest, mum jumped in to get the middle kid. When mum got into difficulty the eldest panicked, left the oushchair and jumped in. The pushchair rolled in. I arrived at the pub i was B&B’ing at after a long day at work to find the car park full of coppers working the scene 200 yards away. The pub landlord, a former royal marine by all accounts, looked a broken man as he told me if the three small bedraggled bundles taken away by the coroner. Mum got her kids out but despite help from the oubs customers none could be saved. Against that background i forced my kids to learn to swim. Initially they hated it but things changed radically when they found they were good at it. Sarah is a qualified swimming teacher who has a particular success with children with difficulties. She ‘speaks’ BSL and teaches deaf kids and has a singular success with autistic kids. Jennifer excelled at the sport and met the qualifying times for the olympic squad - but so do almost any serious competition swimmers. She wore those speedo costumes made of a special fabric that cuts a tenth of a second off your 100 metre time. For which you need to be able to swim near record times to benefit . Sarah’s success in teaching swimming was rewarded by unending bullying the school utterly ignored. At 16 on her last day she told the headmaster to go fuck himself and walked out to start a further education course in a 16+ college she really enjoyed. Jennifer’s fate was more brutal. Envious of her sporting ability and the figure it gave her, two fat slag thugs pushed her down a grass embankment. The injuries ended her sporting future and caused her crash weight gain and a dozen other issues. Again the school did nothing. My grand daughter is well on her way to drama / dance success and has an IQ her grandad’s grandad would be fairly content with. She is now a pupil in the same school where her mother and aunt were bullied for their achievements, one to the point her possible sporting career was destroyed and years of intense pain have followed as surgeries have not rectified tbe damage. The school headmaster and governors snd various others have been told that upon the slightest hint of a repeat of tbe physical violence my daughters experienced will bring down all manner of rage from me against the perpetrators parents. To date this has worked, in that several school bullies and their parents have found themselves in a room with the local community plod being told they will not allow a repeat of the problems ignored by the previous headmaster To be fair that bloke has been about as popular as Philip Schofield is today for quite a while. He foolishly went very public in the South Wales Argus on their front page stating categorically his school did not have a bullying oroblem. The headline the next day featured the death by hanging of a fifth form pupil who was being treated as Sarah was, and hung herself upon reading on the front page the shit of a headmadter was not going to do a fucking thing about it. |

I didn't want kids yet after having a relationship with a women that wanted sex at 5 in the morning, accidents happened. So I was a hands-on father for a while now she won loads and was head prefect yet this was in the 2008-2018 in NZ when Labour were not in power. Labour are under the NWO umbrella yet some even in their party do not understand this it and will just think it is progressive. |

The biggest exodus of experienced teacher happened when Thatcher introduced the 'Grant Maintained System' which left the majority of state schools seriously underfunded. It seems that the Tories have their own favourite areas for reducing spending.
