The current El NIno may cause this to happen. The Arctic temperature may rise 50 C in a few days whilst the temperature in Europe may drop to 20 below freezing. |

Damaged electric cars ‘quarantined’ over fears they will explode..... Electric cars that sustain minor bumps are being kept 15 meters apart in repair yards over fears they might explode, adding to insurance bills. Government guidelines recommend electric vehicles with damaged batteries should be “quarantined” from other vehicles due to the risk of battery fires. Damaged batteries pose a risk of “thermal runaway” where the energy stored in the battery releases rapidly, creating temperatures of up to 400C.
But the practice threatens to increase costs for the insurance industry by more than £600m, costs which ultimately could be passed onto drivers in increased premiums, according to a report by automotive risk firm Thatcham Research. It said insurers would need to spend an additional £900m a year on quarantine facilities for damaged cars as a result of the safety measures by 2035, as more battery-powered vehicles take to the roads. The extra costs risk adding £20 a year onto all car insurance premiums, rising to £28 by 2050 when there are expected to be some 360,000 electric cars on the road network.

So we are now threatened with a polar vortex,I hope I last another decade and can say that was a damp squib but of course a lot of excuses will be served up that it still will or we only said may or the science cannot be that precise.
Mankind has from the outset been determined that we are all going to die (which we do of course but not all at the same time) from people worshipping the sun,nature and trees,certain animals as we progressed it was from many gods to one god.
Industry and science came along,aeroplanes and aerial bombing would see the end of us,we had the bloke with a sandwich board and the message”the end of the world is nigh” which was a portent of apocalypse near unless of course you were from Northern Ireland and it was immediate.
We are being bombarded by what I can only describe as propaganda ,is there a problem? yes there is but some of the solutions are nothing of the kind and it’s not all down to oil or the climate.
Climate scientists are the new priesthood along with the idea they are infallible,they’re not and have been wrong in the past and will in the future,any who dispute the facts are as with all religions labelled in this case as deniers,one clown decided very recently that climate change deniers are the same as holocaust deniers.
No dissent is allowed,if you question anything you are a fool and in denial.
Watching Peston last night I saw a lord Deben aka John Selwyn Gummer,berating the two main parties for ruining the future of others,I got the distinct impression he just wanted to be relevant and on the telly again after all his grasp of science was shoving a burger down one of his kids throats for the camera and to prove bse was not a problem.

ir Jim Ratcliffe has claimed “daft” energy policy decisions are threatening the UK’s manufacturing base in his latest blast of criticism at the Government.
The billionaire behind chemicals giant Ineos called on ministers to back fracking and new nuclear reactors as he warned that the high cost of energy was a threat to inward investment.
Sir Jim also questioned why businesses would currently invest in the UK, comparing it to the US and China where huge government subsidies are being showered on energy companies.
His remarks came just a day after he had separately attacked what he called the “increasingly hostile” attitude of the Government and the competition watchdog towards enterprise and growth.
Speaking at the launch of his book, Grit, Rigour & Humour: The Ineos Story, at an event in London on Wednesday evening, Sir Jim said his conversations with ministers about solving energy issues had been “frustrating”.
In comments that were first reported by Bloomberg, he said: “The UK has made some daft decisions in nuclear.
“Competitive energy is critically important if you want to continue to have people investing in your manufacturing base.
“And if you don’t invest in the manufacturing base, it slowly dwindles away and dies.”

You cannot unmake the Industrial Revolution or nuclear a lot of these pillocks would see us back in the Stone Age.

They don't mention Africa splitting in two on the video and it does not prove me wrong it proves me right. Increased temperature differentials cause the effect to be more likely and therefore more frequent. And you are getting Climate change and Tectonic plate movement muddled. One is about the atmosphere (Hint "Climate") The other is about the movement of Magma 100 miles under the earths crust and in 10,000 years, which doesn't have a great deal of effect on the climate at the moment. Maybe stick to discussing high performance cars? |
