Apologies, I meant the Cam at Grantchester. No worries Old habits die hard, I used to go fishing there as a lad and we always called it the Granta, I guess because of Grantchester. I was rubbish at fishing, I remember when I was about 12 I was fishing and had caught 1 perch all day. A little boy must of been about 8 asked to borrow my rod. He fished out 5 in about 3 minutes. Embarrassing or what.  |

Never been to the US but one of the best in this country a few years back was the Isle of Skye,I love Northumberland too but like everything they are getting too crowded. |

Ive found since covid it’s got more crowded everywhere that was once peaceful,people ok but don’t like crowds. Yes we did. Fascinating place. It wasn't crowded when we went, but that might be because they charge £18 a head to get in now. Plus the cost of living crises. Lovely place and you can see why they filmed the prisoner there. Fascinating history as well. Prettiest place we visited was Bodnant Gardens.  |
