Of course that fact that some figures came from the RAC does not make the DM article accurate. It is highly probable that the figures are quoted out of context to misrepresent the facts. Can you post to a link where a legimate survey by a recognised Automotive authority have been misused or taken out of context?

Is that what has happened, that the RAC figures have been misused? I dunno, have a look for yourself. OK had a look. Quite a good article, talks about the massive increase in charging points etc. Jonsky misrepresented it. Here we go. DM • In some cases, it is now cheaper to run a petrol or diesel car than an electric In London, 24 boroughs have signed up Source London who provide on-street charging facilities. Users are able to take out a monthly subscription which offers discounted power - especially if they are a resident in the borough they are charging their car in. Though, without a subscription, motorists are charged 65p per kWhSo, the RAC found a few people in London who did not sign up to the £4 a month subscription might pay 65p per kwh if they used the borough chargers meant for locals. Another storm in a tea cup.

On top of needing to have a gazillion different apps on your phone for all the different chargers around the country now you have to sign up for a subscription to use the damn things.. You are not selling it.

You are not selling it. I wasn't selling it, I was correcting the claim that EV's now cost more to run the ICE. You can decide for yourself the balance between popping down to the BP station and paying 40% more on average for the privilege.

Which you know is a total strawman. That's not the meaning of a strawman. And yes you misrepresented the article. It did not claim "Charging an electric car is now MORE expensive than filling up at the pump." as I demonstrated. Taking words from an article and presenting them as meaning something different by missing out further explanations is classic misrepresentation.

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt when I used the strawman rather than use the correct term. How could I misrepresent an article by not even commenting on it?

At least be man enough to own up to the fact you were mistaken and it was just an error on your part.

After all why global warming is happening is in the realms of speculation www.nasa.gov/content/goddard/nasa-study-shows-global-sea-ice-diminishing-despite-antarctic-gainsWhy is speculating on a cause wrong. The facts are the facts apparently such as Antarctic sea ice has increased. The speculation as to why that is so is indeed speculation. One may not agree but there was a time, not long ago, when many scientists thought hills grew like trees or were thrown up in the Biblical tempest and that base metal could be turned into gold.
