Understood. So they claimed the vote would send the UK economy into recession. I didn't know that Ok so we got there in the end, phewww I do try. Don't see any point in just being another tit shouting insults and accusing everyone who disagrees with me of being a rightwing nut job.

I must admit I am still struggling to see why Truss/Kwarteng caused such a 'crash' by the mention of tax cuts, but there you go, Brexit result had no such impact.
They couldn't be allowed to make Brexit a success with divergence from the EU, so they were undermined by the dark side and we all know the rest.

There should have been a grown referendum where people could and would have been better informed, and could have voted from a well informed position. Better informed by who? - and why didnt they have a chance to put their position during the referendum? By honest people. Perhaps if they had been big mouthed and small minded in the opposite way to the Righties, maybe they would have been listened to. You might ask how lies were repeated even after being shown to be lies.

It's not being 'insulting' when you keep asking the same rhetorical question, I am sure you know exactly what was meant by 'instant', the fact that your vagueness would either suggest you are purposely being vague or you actually can't understand the definition of 'instant', when Osbourne and Cameron were on the 'Remain' campaign they fact they said if we voted to Leave there would be a 'instant' recession, so on 24/06/2016 they were found to be liars, because there was no 'Instant' recession, the day Brexit was declared. You would have thought the sky would cave in mate with all their childish predictions. One would have thought paradise would arrive immediately upon leaving the EU listening to the childish insulting language from some Outers.

You might ask how lies were repeated even after being shown to be lies. Just before the referendum prime minister Cameron said if we voted to leave the EU the government may not be able to pay old age pensions. This was a direct threat to a pro Brexit demographic, and a blatant lie. Just before the referendum Chancellor George Osborne said if we voted to leave the EU, then within three months he would have to hold an emergency budget in which income tax and VAT would rise by 3%. Another blatant lie. Just before the referendum the governor of the BoE said a vote to leave the EU would almost immediately be economically disastrous for the UK economy. He was later called before a select committee to explain why his predictions were so wrong. You are correct see2, there were some utterly blatant lies told about Brexit.

"May not" A suggestion is not a lie. 2. How can it be a lie, did he have a crystal ball? At best it was his opinion. 3. So his forecast-- his opinion-- was wrong, not the first such a person has made an incorrect forecast. Stating that the EU is run by unelected people was a lie back then and is still a lie today.
