Now you are trying and succeeding in being stupid. It's a serious question. What barriers did we erect to trade with the EU? As far as i know the barriers to trade were all placed by the EU We left them, they did not leave us. We erected the barriers. Did you seriously believe things would be the same at the borders?

Nope. You are too stupid to answer the question. I’ll ask again ..what barriers ? If you don't know what barriers were set up ,due to Brexit, no explaining will help you, you are lost.😔 But my point is any barriers that appeared weren't put there by the UK.

One of the silly thing about this situation is the small number of protesters. We really are only talking about few hundred or so severely confused and vulnerable people They are not confused about oil and the need to stop new oil sources being opened up. I have never seen a few hundred people blocking a road, it is usually less than 10. Easily dispersed. That, is an FN303 riot gun. It can fire paint rounds, kinetic impact rounds and pepper rounds. Get these yobs off the roads. Let them protest outside the Commons like normal protesters. I recommend pepper.

Yep all down to your beloved Frogs wonky. Just another of your strawman thrown into the pot. How is it down to the French? RRR We chose to erect barriers between ourselves and the EU not them. You do know our relationship with the EU has changed, don't you There are no tariffs and no quotas and (taking inflation into account) the value of our exports to the EU now are greater than when we were members, what are you complaining about? www.gov.uk/government/statistics/uk-trade-in-numbers/uk-trade-in-numbers-web-versionIf you want to complain about anything, complain about this, amongst our export partners are dictatorships with abysmal human rights records.

Yup, I see your point but it's a fine point. Leaving the EU was the catalyst for the EU to erect barriers. We are the only country, ever, to erect barriers to trade with our nearest neighbours, not including wars.

Trade from the UK to the EU is down 16% on the levels anticipated had Brexit not happened, a new report has found. Meanwhile trade from the EU to the UK has dropped even further, by 20%, relative to a scenario in which Brexit had not occurred, according to research published on Wednesday by the Economic and Social Research Institute.

And shot up with a bigger market than the EUSSR's corner shop wonky. We can now enjoy better food with no strings or tariffs and sovereignty intact. Good innit?

Dear Red Rum.
If what you said were true, we wouldn't have negotiated a free trade agreement with the EU guaranteeing zero tariffs and zero quotas.
And as we're not part of the EU's Common External Tariff, we're able to negotiate bilateral free trade agreements and bring down trade barriers.
Stop complaining. The EU is excessively protectionist. We're a lot more open and internationalist.
The value of our exports to the EU are up from £236 billion in 2016 to £340 billion in 2022. Adjusting for inflation, we'd be selling £302 billion, had we stayed in the EU and maintained sales parity with 2016.
The EU's share of our exports and our imports is down big time because we're being a lot more open and internationalist in our outlook but the value of our exports to it is a £38bn above inflation Brexit BONUS.

It is only 'free' if we comply with 'rules of origin' standards. Why would the EU not want to protect it's market? We are a lot more open to reducing our standards. UK exports of goods to the EU have fallen by £20bn compared with the last period of stable trade with Europe, according to official figures marking the first full year since Brexit.

And that's supposed to be a sensible comment. It amazes me how on this board people can hurl stupid insults at other posters and the 'moderators' allow it.
