A man who is attacked or believes that he is about to be attacked may use such force as is both necessary and reasonable in order to defend himself. If that is what he does then he acts lawfully. It follows that a man who starts the violence, the aggressor, cannot rely upon self-defence to render his actions lawful. Quite. That motorcyclist could quite easily claim self defence. I did very similar (except a whole lot more "Robustly") when I found myself trying to get home through the Croydon riots in 2011. How could he have claimed 'self defence'? He could quite easily have taken another route or gone around the protesters. |

Jesus Christ! Read my previous posts. I have stated that the protestors were breaking the law. I think you’ll find his name is John of Gwent  indeed. And as a former freelancer my boss in thexafterlife im heading for takes an exceptionally dim view of this type of identity theft unless HE is the petpetrator. And coming back on track, i think i’ve amply illustrated why the real problem here is those who we the people consent to be policed by are reneging on the contract. That a corrupt judge has set case law by refusing to sentence those found guilty of public order offences is hardly reason for the police not to act |

Now ffs stop constantly nitpicking every post you don't agree with, you are fucking this board up. , the video clearly shows other options he could have used, he was on a motorbike and the protesters could not block the whole of the road, he did it for the cameras not out of a sense of social justice. Aren't we supposed to air our disagreements isn't that the point? |

Proscribe Just Stop Oil as a "terrorist" organisation.
Treat road blockages as terrorist attacks.
Use Tasers pepper spray and riot rounds.
And leave police van engines running whilst detaining them.

Those arseholes were blocking him from going about his daily life. He should have sent a few of em into the next life there is not a single reason why he should deviate from his route. |

Nope, those bastards have blocked roads and prevented people with life threatening conditions from getting to hospital.
I have had to drive to hospital with my father who was having a heart attack.
If those bastards had blocked the road where I was, he could have died.
It's very simple. They are eco terrorists.
Get them off the roads.

Nope, those bastards have blocked roads and prevented people with life threatening conditions from getting to hospital. I have had to drive to hospital with my father who was having a heart attack. If those bastards had blocked the road where I was, he could have died. It's very simple. They are eco terrorists. Get them off the roads. You are blaming the protesters when you should be blaming the police and those who's orders they are carrying out by not arresting the protestors and removing them from the roads. It is simple a case of 'stoking' the culture wars to keep the publics attention elsewhere. |

It's the likes of Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil.
Treat them as terrorists.
Their behaviour could kill someone.

It's not the police who are choosing to block roads and prevent normal travel. It's the likes of Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil. Treat them as terrorists. Their behaviour could kill someone. Tasers, pepper spray, riot rounds. Get them off the fucking roads. Or restrain them under the mental health act, have them sectioned, because anyone who is going around endangering their own lives and the lives of others are generally banged up in a secure mental ward. |
